Some of the stations near where I work dropped from $2.55 to $2.49 from last night to this morning. Closer to home, it's holding steady anywhere between $2.55 and $2.60.
"You rock, Rolfski. You are one hep cat." "Ya, ya, sock it to me."
Gas was 2.49 last night. This morning, my fiancee told me they were just changing the price to 2.67. I went in 2 hours, and it was up to 2.79 and I was told it's probably going up again.
Good thing the hybrid truck is coming soon. I'm getting 25 mph in town in my pickup, and that just doesn't cut it.
A strict constructionist interprets the Constitution according to the language and original intent of the text at the time of its writing, in much the same way as a fundamentalist views the Bible. Fortunately, for strict constructionists, they have been endowed by God with the superhuman gift of being able to read the minds of people who died 200 years ago. Naturally, they use this power only for good - America (The Book)
Gas here in Central Massachusetts (Amherst, Ware, Belchertown, etc.) for the past two weeks and as of this morning was holding at around $2.53-$2.57, but this afternoon it jumped up to $2.81 in my hometown, which is always cheaper than surrounding towns. In just the space of a few hours, unbelievable. I dread to see what it'll be when I go to work tomorrow.

Futures for unleaded gas for September goes up over .41 cents today, an increase of around 20%, so another .50 to .60 cent increase is just around the corner. October doesn't look much better, but maybe December won't be awful. Went from 2.61 to 2.86 for the cheap stuff today, with the first sighting of over 3.00 per gallon.
The wholesale cost of gasoline in northeast Wisconsin will be 34 cents higher on the 31st than it was on the 29th.
We ran out of gas yesterday, got 8000 gallons overnight, and we would have ran out again today (we had kept our prices at $2.699. There are some in town as high as $3.099 already). We'll be at $2.999 tomorrow.
Plus the terminals are reported to be on strict quotas. We might not be able to get another load of gasoline before Friday, which means we'll be out all week.
People need to calm down though. Remember, it's not your local gas station's fault that the price is so high. Don't take it out on them.
(edited by Mr. Boffo on 30.8.05 1855) In the real world, WWE believes that no matter what our race, religious creed or ethnic background in America, we all share the common bond of being Americans. American-Arabs are a part of the fabric of America, and they should be embraced by all of us.

The prices here went from $2.34 yesterday to $2.78 today. As I filled up and went in to pay, the lady said something about how it was getting crazy with the price, to which I replied "Yeah, its nice of you guys to gouge the consumer a day after the hurricane, at least you have an excuse"
Either way, glad I get 33 MPG in the car, or I'd be a bit upset.
The most expensive I've seen is $2.79 for regular, but just about everyone's pushing $2.70. That was this morning, though, so who knows what it'll be tomorrow.

Went from $2.69 yesterday to $2.94 this morning. *shudders*

The "cheap" Chevron where I filled up for $2.819 yesterday was holding at that price this morning. A Mobil and Shell near me were $2.999 and $2.959 respectively this morning.
Arco had the cheapest in the neighborhood yesterday with $2.779.

I dunno, I figured this'll be fun for a few hours maybe. Grab a post from another board, and take a wild stab at who you think it'll be. I know this isn't a question per see, but more of a "who is this?" (which is a question of itself).
