You know, if he'd spent some money actually trying to improve the team (without paying yet another undersized, veteran, injury-prone small forward), I wouldn't be as quick to criticize. The ironic thing is that as weak as the Atlantic Division is, they stand as good a chance as anyone of making the playoffs. “Great. Actually, if healthy, New Jersey could be a 50 win team with Kidd/Carter/Jefferson/Rahim. Well, noon press conference on Thursday for Brown getting the job. Over/Under on the Larry Brown is considering resigning rumors should be around 1 PM Thursday. | BOSsportsfan34

The so-called "weakness" of the Atlantic is overstated IMO. They had as many playoff teams as the Central did last year. The Southeast has Atlanta and Charlotte. Orlando is also a vastly overrated team which failed to make the playoffs too last year. Granted, the Central is the best division in the East, and arguably the NBA, but I think the Atlantic is stronger than the Southeast.
