Wow ... My buddies & I had a friggin' blast watching this.

The match I was most looking forward to was Benoit vs. Guerrero & it turned out to be one of the lower points in the show (which isn't that bad of a thing)

God love Paul Heyman & Joey Styles.

Tonight makes you hate Edge even more.

Why do you hate Edge more? He had the perfect reaction to all of it and played it up, knowing it'll get him more heat.

I'm guessing that has to be the case, since they didn't include Brian Pillman or Louie Spiccoli. They included Crash Holly and he only worked one weekend of ECW (Before Taz got him fired).

Foley's always called Bubba a second-rate Cactus. Bubba's always taken it as a compliment.

I called the Beulah and Austin entrances and marked out like a kid when they happened. I'm watchin' the replay and am still diggin' it.

My girlfriend got home from work right before the main event. She says "you ordered that shit?" To which I replied "This is the best PPV I have ever seen!" She's watching the replay now.

How good a night is it when Eddie vs Benoit is the WORST match of the night?

Man I miss me some Super Crazy as well. Balcony dive was INSANE.

I thought Mike Awesome killed tanaka about 4 times. But then again, I think that every time they wrestle.

AWESOME ppv. I would recommend anybody who didnt get it, to catch one of the replays. WELL worth the $35.

Nice of htem to allow Elecktra, Beullah, Sandmans Wife and Francine (who didnt look too cracked out for a change) to be on the show. And, Dawn Marie, you pregnant little tramp you. You looked the hottest I have ever seen ya look!

Actually, there was one guy that I didn't recognize in the ECW Remembers segment. He was right before the Pitbull who died... they were using real names, so I wouldn't have recognized him from that. And as for Bubba Ray, didn't Mick Foley call himself a second-rate Terry Funk in the same sentence?

It takes a LOT to get me to buy a PPV. They did not disappoint at fucking all. Let this be the beginning of something bigger. Just not TOO big.

Tonight's pay-per-view may have been the best I have ever seen. And not so much for some of the matches, but it was just edge-of-your seat, anything can happen goodness. That's something we have not had in wrestling for a long time. One Night Stand reminded me why I am a wrestling fan. And the fact Joey Styles is not doing play-by-play in the WWE and Michael Cole is, is downright criminal. He was on top of his game tonight. CATFIGHT!

Indeed. From WrestlingObserver:

Numberous people attempting to order the ECW PPV webcast on the WWE.com website tonight were shut down due to WWE not having enough bandwith available to support the amount of fans requesting webcast purchases.

Part of the reason may have been the Canadian orders, because the usual Famous Playes closed circuit locations were not running this show like most WWE PPVs. WWE has arranged refunds for those who ordered tonight and were unable to see the show.

I really feel like a kid again and it's the 90's. I haven't been in such a markout mood in as long as I can remember. Even so...I wouldn't think this would be such a great thing to bring back except for the "One Night." That's what made it so special; the basis of one night of complete nostalgia.

All the WWE guys played their parts perfectly. From JBL's promo (albeit the length), Bischoff's finger to Heyman, and Edge noticing that "Matt Frickin' Hardy" is three words. Could the show gone on without it? Yes, but the comedy didn't hurt.

What a freakin' bloody awesome event. I wasn't an ECW fan when it was around (I was partial to WCW), but... holy shit, what a fun pay-per-view. RVD and Heyman, wow, I wonder if WWE's gonna retaliate against them for what they said. (But that'd be a good way to destroy all the goodwill they've built up with ECW fans, so I wouldn't bet on it).

If this is the start of RVD re-growing a personality, I'm all for that. "Whatever, dude" was old almost as soon as RVD came onto the scene, but it was OK for a long time because few people can bring it like he can. But... yeah, time to bring the charisma.

Benoit/Guerrero was the worst match of the night, and I was surprised by that. But it was still a pretty good match from what I can remember.

The most memorable wrestling moments of the event for me were Super Crazy's sick dive, Awesome and Tanaka just about destroying one another, and of course Tommy Dreamer getting powerbombed through the flaming table. (And you gotta love the immediate aftermath-- Sandman leaning over Tommy's body, a concerned look on his face, and then he says, "Someone get me a beer!")

The main event was quite the clusterfuck, wasn't it? But it was all the better for it.

Gotta love the ECW crowd, using chants that you wouldn't want to repeat in front of your mother. My favorite chant came when JBL was speaking-- "Shut the fuck up!"

Not only did wwe.com's webcast crash, but Dave Meltzer is apparantly getting a ridiculous amount of feedback. This PPV is such a hit, and that's great because it was one of the best PPVs ever.

I can't stress it enough. It was far from the greatest in-ring show. But it was by far the FUNNEST time I've EVER had watching a PPV. What a great show~!

The answer to WWE's financial problems...

It was nice to see that Tanaka was in fact, NOT impaled by a metal piece of the table, like I thought he was for a full minute after that Awesomebomb through the already-broken table.

Is there anything more enjoyable than a good old-school D-Von Dudley oversell twitch? Nope.

That's all I got because the rest was gravy and has already been touched upon.

ABSOLUTELY

FREAKING

INCREDIBLE.

I've never had as much fun watching a PPV. Benoit/Guerrero was very solid in my opinion, despite what most people say. It was hurt by the fact that Bischoff (of all people) arrived with his contingent right before the match kicked off. I wrote a pretty shitty (and half-drunken) review here. Sure, ECW might suck if WWE runs it week after week, but goddamn...this show left me wanting more.

Absolutely incredible. Highlight was Awesome/Tanaka, and I don't feel that enough people responding to that are giving enough credit to Tanaka. By the way, to re-state what others were saying, just want to note that the bar I was at was popping like CRAZY for that match. Tanaka made that ENTIRE match with his bumps and selling, IMO.

Didn't see the PPV tonight, but I'm happy to see that everyone enjoyed it so much. I'm proud my MAN Masato Tanaka put on a great match...what kept him, I'm curious, from ever getting any interest from WWE or WCW back in the day? Did he just prefer to stay in Japan, or what?

After the ECW run in on Raw, I was on the fence about getting this PPV. I thought and thought, and decided to go ahead, get the PPV, the nostalgia would be well worth it. It took the introduction of Joey Styles who was emotional at the reaction of the fans to help me realize my purchase was well worth it. Then they lead off with Storm/Y2J, which just solidified it even more.

Heyman was great, although I thought it should have been him getting to beat on Bischoff at the end, and think they missed an opportunity there, and RVD was awesome too..huge reaction from me.

Awesome & Tanaka was very very good, and sounds like I wasn't the only one disappointed with Eddie/Benoit which maybe because of the fact they're both on Smackdown now every week. Rey & Psicosis was lacking too, but I think that was more on Psicosis than Rey, aside from the suicide guillotine.

All in all, I'm glad I bought this PPV, and glad I have Tivo to enjoy it again. I think the thing I love about ECW is they say what you're dying to say, which was best personified with Heyman's crackbacks, and Joey Styles bashing Mike Awesome, or the mention of Kid Kash as Mr. TNA.

So many great moments on the show. Line of the night was Heyman's dig on JBL, but special mention had to go to Joey Styles' shot at Nova's current career as Simon Dean.

Unless your tape's stuck in the VCR. DVD's don't jam, right?

(EDIT: Got it out. I should've stuck with the 160-minute tapes. Either way, get the DVD.)

First PPV I have bought since WM 20. Worth EVERY FREAKING PENNY! I am giddy after watching that. Everything everyone said times a million.

Give me things like this Vince, you'll get my money. Give me something that I can "believe" in, and you'll get my money. That's the lesson of tonight for WWE.

To all the people who were disappointed with the Bret/HBK confrontation and say the WWE screwed it up almost as bad as the Invasion angle, I'm curious on what they were wanting/expecting to see? Bret can't wrestle folks or he might die.
