PA Turnpike rest stops still have them! In fact, I think the rest stop before Harrisburg has one still alive and kicking. I'm not sure they still have my favorites (sourdough bacon cheeseburger) but I picked up breakfast there about two weeks ago.
The Turnpike stop just outside of Allentown also has a Roy Rogers, and has had it for as long as I can remember. That was traditionally the place we stopped for the breakfast buffet when we went down the (Jersey) shore. The bacon was always crispy to being just before the roofing shingle category, and the pancakes absorbed tremendous amounts of syrup. It's a fantastic place.
The only experience I've had with any of these places was a Jack-in-the-Box on my only trip to California. It was quite disappointing because this particular restaurant did *not* have a gigantic Jack-in-the-Box on site. I was expecting something at least the size of the Big Boy.
"You rock, Rolfski. You are one hep cat." "Ya, ya, sock it to me."

Like Rally's in the midwest, Checker's other places, - and is it Carl's Jr in the west (or is that Hardee's?)

Those went out in the ...80s? I think. I really don't miss JitB at all. In fact, I think I came out ahead moving here because HERE the Taco Bells still have the chili cheese burrito - my jaw just DROPPED when I saw I could get them again...and I've had more than a few since then!
My little guy made it out of surgery like a champ and is basically breathing on his own (just has to be given a little oxygen, but it's much better than have a tube down his throat). Is it me or was the sunshine a little bit brighter today? :)
