Nah, the EC seems the most likely solution. HHH Vs. Batista Vs. Edge Vs. Chris Benoit Vs. Chris Jericho Vs. Randy Orton (seeing as Hunter's no longer champ, he can get involved). Allows for a nice big bundle o'issues-you can turn Batista full-face and make the WM title corridor much clearer.
Once upon a time in China, some believe, around the year one double-ought three, head priest of the White Lotus Clan, Pai Mei was walking down the road, contemplating whatever it is that a man of Pai Mei's infinite power contemplates - which is another way of saying "who knows" - when a Shaolin monk appeared, traveling in the opposite direction. As the monk and the priest crossed paths, Pai Mei, in a practically unfathomable display of generosity, gave the monk the slightest of nods. The nod was not returned. Now was it the intention of the Shaolin monk to insult Pai Mei or did he just fail to see the generous social gesture? The motives of the monk remain unknown. What is known, are the consequences. The next morning Pai Mei appeared at the Shaolin Temple and demanded of the Temple's head abbot that he offer Pai Mei his neck to repay the insult. The Abbot at first tried to console Pai Mei, only to find Pai Mei was inconsolable. So began the massacre of the Shaolin Temple and all 60 of the monks inside at the fists of the White Lotus. And so began the legend of Pai Mei's five point palm exploding heart technique.
I was late tuning in, so I only caught it right before the Evolotion vs. Canadian Chris Connection match began.
I don’t know why they even bothered trying to have Flair act as a heel in North Carolina. Every time he tried to get involved, it just put heat on the face team. I don’t think Benoit got booed as much during his entire last heel run as he did when he hit Flair with a baseball slide during that match.
As for the Women’s Title match – damn. Lita’s bump was completely sick (right up there with Brock’s Shooting Star Press on the list of “Moves that I honestly thought killed the person doing them”), but it did the impossible: it got Lawler to stay on task for the rest of the match. And it was a great match. I was surprised by the clean finish, as I was expecting either a Kane or Matt Hardy run-in. But nope – just a straight 10-minute affair that was probably my favorite women’s match since the Trish/Victoria hardcore match.
I'm pretty sure the last time the women's title was defended in the raw main event was when lita pinned stephanie mcmahon back in 2000, in what was a really cool moment. I believe that match drew some ridiculously large rating too, though in those days brisco/patterson v. the mean street posse were hitting the 7.0 mark.
i'm happy that was the main event. it had such a great, long build-up (due to trish pulling one of the best heel acts since austin '01, and lita playing a sympathetic babyface to the hilt.
both ladies deserved the spot and i'm glad they delivered.
Good match for Lita. I have to ask: Do they perhaps follow this up with a Trish heel stable, or a female "problem solver" for Trish? They've been hinting at it for awhile, but with Gail gone now, could they perhaps go in this direction? A kind of "Lita against the world" theme?
I know I'll take flack for this, but I think it's time for another Nicole Bass/Chyna person in the WWE. If done right I think it can be effective. (I understand Melissa Coates is in OVW, for example.)

RAW was pretty damn good Monday night... The funny thing is that my last post in the Ladies Forum kinda rang true tonight.
-Christian, as always, is great. I loved the Captain Charisma costume, with the 'C' horns. That was some funny stuff. Great match with Shelton Benjamin, who is kind of without a true storyline. I hope that match was the start of a true rivalry and not a begining to Christian vs. Jericho (again).
-Excellent choice to have the Women in the Main event. Yeah, I don't really like Lita, but it was good to see her get a clean win over Trish Stratus. When she first won the title in 2000, remember it was due to The Rock being appointed Special Ref by Commissioner Foley and he gave Stephanie McMahon a Rock Bottom so that Lita could pin her? Seeing her win it cleanly is a plus.. Not to forget that suicide plancha. Damn!! It was like seeing Moises Alou breaking his leg while rounding second on ESPN. They had like 20 angles to make you freak out.
-Am I crazy because I know the lyrics to and sometimes sing "Don't You Wish You Were Me?" Yeah... I think so too.
-Glad to see people are back on the Maven bandwagon. Nah, but his heel turn should be refreshing to him and I hope it works out. Being an ass to a mentally challenged man should help him out.
-I can't wait for Batista to turn on HHH. I'm with the Elimination Chamber prediction. That's truly 'every man for himself' and when he breaks out, it'll be awesome.
-Glad the Diva stuff was shortened. My question is: "Why wear a mini skirt and platform shoes to a limbo contest?" And where the hell did that one chick get those big brown boots from? They look like rejects from a Busta Rhymes or Missy Elliot video. Sheesh...
-Okay, I admit it... I was glad to see Randy Orton last night and in all of his toplessness.. ahhh...
Meg: Being a single mother is hard, but the real challenge is having a baby that's addicted to crack. Right Stewie?
Stewie: What's that? Oh yes, yes, I love crack. I'm absolutely cuckoo for crack.
From what I saw of the show (and can remember three days later) I was rather non-plussed. When the limbo-hos segment was followed by a Simon Dean segment (which I later found-out was an actual match) I pretty much tuned-out and channel-surfed.
But the Edge/Orton promo was interesting, and the Tag match was worthwhile, too.
I totally forgot about the Women's Title match after the tag match, so I flipped around, again.
Overall: A crappy show. I keep thinking that I should just start taping it so I can watch all I care to in about a half hour. But then I'd probably not even watch it ('cuz I don't really have the free time to watch it 'til Saturday).
Edit: Oh yeah, the "get lei'd" line was so corny I moaned in agony...back in college.
They FINNALLY turned Maven heel which is the right way to go, every top superstar on the roster today got over as a heel first, getting over as a baabyface rarely works if ever in this day and age.
Last two matched kicked ass, I shouted like a maniac when Trips hit Doan with the chair, if he hit Batista like that it would have been better, I really hope Batista gets better on the mic soon, i mean he goes ok in them but some little bits here and there just ruin it.
Trips running after Lillian was hilarious. I forget did she come back for the women's match? I beleive that was the second Women's Main event match in Raw's history. JR can announce it as the World's Women's title can't he? That's what they should do like the Cruiser belt now, makes it seem more important.
Now that's there's less women on the roster, Finley can concentarte on the matches more, glad it was made a Raw ME and not lost on a PPV.
The leis play on words was clever, the first time he said it. When it started going to dozen time he uses it, it got less funny. I think Jericho been really slipping on the mic end of things, but he did look cool. Vince comes out later & tricked me along with HHH in thinking that he'll give Trips the title back on account of a tie. But he's leaving it up to Bischoff... Maven/Eugene, I never saw someone look so proud getting his name followed with Sux like Maven did on Raw. Regal's untrusty eye is great acting.
I hate these divasearch loser coming out as a group doing stupid stuff. How about the one who didn't even limbo, for gawd sake you are asked to do nothing of note and you can't even bother limboing as she just gave up and crawled under the pole. Nice effort loser. I never been more happier to see Middle Eastern man threatening me... Dean/Hurricane, Dean keeps chatting away even when Hurricane music was playing which is a little odd. Quick mat based match with Dean finishing with the always original roll-up the rim to win. Darn it I picked use of the powder bottle for victory.
I thought Edge & Orton had decent interview interaction chemistry, Edge was especially good. Glad they remembered that he was the one who put the end to Orton's winning streak... Benjamin/Charisma, Logically I don't think taking the title off Benjamin now is a good idea. But the thought did cross my mind that Christian would win & he'd think Captain Charisma costume was his calling or a good luck charm. They especially did a good job in getting me to bite on the false finish with Tomko run-in boot.
Benoit-Y2J/HHH-Batista, HHH chases Lillian away because she calls him former champion. Lillian shows more athleticism than any of the divasearch losers in the first hour. After the ad-break there was some nice sequences with Y2J using quick moves, Benoit tech moves & Batista power moves. HHH runs in & hits everyone with a chair HARD except for Batista who looks like he grazed his wrist... Before this match, backstage had one of the funniest skits of the year as HHH phones up Bischoff & gets his voice mail as Flair keeps screaming HHH accolades into the phone, I found it hilarious. Plus that HAD to be the longest phone message in history
Lita/Trish, agree with RM said in it was hard to get into it as the outcome was obvious, they tried putting a twist in there with the Snitsky chat which shows how poorly they pushed Trish's credibility. It was comical how JR talked about Lita struggle as she went from pregnancy to #1 contender in a span of weeks & dominate the champ every encounter. The match at least was over my expectations. When Lita is motivated she can work well(she was fine when she returned in late 03) Trish thrown over the top to the floor, Lita tope in a damn scary looking move which she crashed onto Trish. Trish unmasking was a cool visual, her face of "I fooled the world" was great. Lita is actually selling well(don't know if it's by choice or cause of the spill outside, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt). Superplex by Lita, Trish bumps like crazy. DDT, Trish hooks her arm on the rope & counter, gets 2. Moonsault & pin
Trish really put Lita over strong, which is no surprise. I was always hoping Trish would put over one of the young talent who could have really used it as Lita already has her popularity. But considering every young talent was fired last month, I guess there's not much young talent to put over. I just don't see the direction the division will go now with one other heel (Molly) who's been portrayed even worse (in-ring) than Trish these past months... On a side now, seems to be a pattern of my favorite girls getting forced kissed by annoying red heads. I don't like it, or I don't think I do, lol.
