This is a very disturbing, unbeleivable story. I just finished reading the chat transcript and Im shocked. I hope Rob gets his ass kicked for this. The whole thing is sick.

I mean I guess it's bad that he wants to have sex with little kids and stuff, but hell, he's always gotten my Japanese ladies death match tapes to me on time, so he's ok in my book.

The Observer has posted Perverted Justice's (the people who got him) statement:

The conversations span two days, and two phone calls. Both individuals who had contact with Rob Feinstein while under the auspices of being a 14 year old boy named Brandon are not wrestling fans. They know very little about wrestling. And they had no clue who Rob Feinstein was until he came across our volunteers. Rob Feinstein was not targeted by our organization. Instead, he ended up targeting one of our contributors and is now paying for that decision.

Rob Feinstein showed up at our Group Media Bust door to meet NBC Philadelphia reporter Harry Harriston the day after he initiated the conversation with "Brandon". This occured on March 1st. Feinstein ran to his silver Lexus, and peeled off from the scene of the meeting. This was all captured on camera.

Confirmation that the individual is indeed Rob Feinstein was performed by the investigative team at NBC10, who used video analysis and a license plate lookup to make sure that they had the right man. Every safeguard was taken in the two days since Rob Feinstein made his Philadelphia media appearance to know without a doubt that the person involved was Rob Feinstein before this happening was made public by our website.

Perverted-Justice.com is ashamed at Mr. Feinstein's terrible act, and his reckless disregard for his Ring of Honor/RFVideo employees.

However, to make sure the record is clear, Perverted-Justice.com is not anti-wrestling in any form. This situation is not a "black eye" on wrestling, or indicative of the average wrestler or wrestling promoter. Speaking personally as the owner of Perverted-Justice.com and as the individual drafting this release, I am a wrestling fan myself. This incident is not a reflection on wrestling. This is a solitary incident of an individual who clearly needs some form of counseling, no different than any other of the 600+ individuals we have exposed in nearly two years of work.

We call on Rob Feinstein to seek counseling immediately, to apologize to those around him whom he has harmed via his irresponsible actions, and to apologize to his hard-working employees who deserve absolutely none of the negative taint that Rob Feinstein has brought down upon them with his actions this week.

That cleared some things up for me about the site, and I have to agree with some of CRZ's points in that thread on the whole idea of the site.

I guess you could say that public humiliation is going to be enough to scare these guys straight. You could say that, but I think it's more likely going to scare these guys into being more cautious.

Rob Feinstein is a big kill for them, probably their biggest to date. Being a public figure he probably should fear bodily harm from somebody, which could come back to the site. I know they have the disclaimer, but I don't know how solid of ground that really is to stand on legally. I see this more than likely ending up with Feinstein taking his own life.

So, while I think it's good that they are out there fighting for a truly good cause, they have no control of what happens after they expose their pedophile. It's in the hands of the public which can easily turn into an angry mob. What if somebody wants to seek revenge? What happens if a mob attacks somebody? Who should be held accountable? I would have to say this is one of those situations that should be left to the people that have the authority to follow up on this type of thing. It just seems to close to the same type of vigilante that posts names and addresses of abortion doctors. Where should you draw the line?

He is from Langhorne in Lower Bucks County. Something like this does not surprise at all although if he were from Levittown or Bristol then it would be understandable.

I am glad I moved out of that area.

Just posted on the ROH website:

The following statement is from Robert Feinstein:

"It is with deep regret that I step down as partner of Ring Of Honor Inc. and President of RF Video Inc.

Due to recent allegations that have been lodged against me it is in the best interest of both companies that until these allegations are resolved that I step down to avoid tarnishing the excellent reputation that has been built over the years of both companies."

RF Video and Ring Of Honor will continue normal operations without interruptions.

The last I heard, abortion (though controversial) isn't illegal, while having sex with 14 year olds is. Call me heartless, but I see no problem with a pedophile getting the holy hell beaten out of them.

On the other hand, it's just going to get people to be more careful, which scares me al ittle bit. I mean, when you can't dupe a 14 year old into sex on the internet, what's the next step? Kidnapping off the street? I think Perverted Justice is doing a good thing here, but I would be more comfortable if there were follow-ups by local authorities.

It's a shame, too. I like ROH, but won't support it now. The Torch seems to be reporting that both Rob and his partner were involved in the sting, but only Rob is stepping down. I'm not going to pay for a pervert's internet access by buying tapes and attending shows.

But what about the hard-working wrestlers of the company and the other employees of the company that were not involved and probably had no clue to what Rob was doing? I realize you can support these wrestlers if they wrestle in other companies, but there are more people than just Rob Feinstein behind ROH. RFVideo, I don't know...that was his baby, wasn't it? But it takes more than one man to run a promotion--I hope it doesn't take only one to ruin it.

Edit: Also, if this is the statement (courtesy of pwtorch (pwtorch.com)) that made you think his partner was also involved, I think you just misread it:

"Rob Feinstein, founder of Ring of Honor along with partner Gabe Sapolsky, was subject of an underage sex sting operation investigation by Philadelphia's NBC10 news station."

Not sure if that is where you were deducing that his partner was involved in the sting, but I think this sentence is meant to read that Rob was the founder of ROH, along with his partner Gabe Sapolsky. Just a poor choice of words/poor sentence structure, I think.

So I sit at work and read the threads about Feinstein doing all this crap. And of course when I get home my recently placed order of 2 ROH dvd's and 3 tickets for their upcoming Chicago show are waiting at my mailbox. So now I wonder a couple of things:

- I wonder what the chances of this show coming off as planned are. I can see them pulling off shows in their home market, but this was going to be new markets for them as they did a MN, IL 2 day tour.

- If it does occur, should I go? I already bought the tix and all that so I doubt I can get a refund if the show happens. I just can't help but feel like others have said, there's no point pissing on people who likely had no idea about any of this.

- Lastly, what are the odds on the defective DVD I got y-day from them being able to be swapped for a new one anytime soon? ;)

All I can say about this--just got an e-mail with the same stuff most of you have read--is God f***ing dammit!!

Thanks so much, Rob. Thanks SO fucking much for taking a really great thing--namely, Ring of Honor--and more or less shitting all over it. Shitting all over the workers--hard working guys who blow some of the people Vince pushes down our throats outta the water. Shitting all over the fans, people like myself who are sick and tired of the WWE, who want an entertaining ALTERNATIVE to that product.

And for what? A fourteen year old piece of ass?

Sorry if that offends anyone, but I'm pissed, pissed, PISSED about this.

He stepped down from both RF and ROH today, so I'd say I'd have no problem doing business with Gabe and the fine wrestlers involved, and I'd have no reason to think the show wouldn't go on as planned, with the possible exception being if the local news caught wind of what happened and someone with a grudge against wrestling decided to harass anyone involved.

As for the DVD getting swapped..... good luck :)

Yeah, I didn't see the commas. It was a late night and an early morning. Apologies to everybody for making it seem like Sapolsky was involved. My mistake. Feinstein's the only scumbag, and if he's not making any of my money, then I'll support ROH.

Just a thought -- and I say this adding that Feinstein has to be proven guilty under the criminal justice system, so we don't know the full truth here yet -- but what makes you guys think that he WON'T still be making money off ROH products?

Just because he stepped down from a formal position in the company, it doesn't necessarily mean he won't continue to take a portion of the profits from the sidelines...

Hell, just because he SAID he's stepping down from formal positions in both companies, it doesn't necessarily mean he has any plans to do so.

Thats the first thing that ran through my mind when I read the statement at ROH's website, anyway,

Unless his partners buy out his equity in the company, or an outside party buys out his equity and forms a new partnership with RF's old partners, he still is a part owner.

Exactly my point. For people who say they don't want their money going to a pedophile, well.....

Again, IF this is all true.
