| #1 Posted on 14.8.02 2005.36 | So, as much as I hate to say it... I'm all for seeing what James van Praghe, Caroline Rhea (removed from the Squares), Squares sans Whoopi, Revamped Feud and (grr...) Dr. Phil do in the November book.
A couple more shows to mention as guilty pleasures -- Texas Justice and Maximum Exposure. Both are hellafun to watch when you're drinking with buddies.

Although I do want to see the new Strokes video, if only because it's a preview of what the Feud would look like next season. That is, if the Strokes and GBV were on. They taped a real episode... wonder if it'll ever air. | ICEMAN

And I'll probably watch Caroline Rhea just for the fact that someone with the same last name I have has a T.V. show.

If you've seen RealTV in *any* of it's incarnations (John Daly or Ahmad Rashad), then you'll frickin' love MaxEx. Think of RealTV with attitude. Some of the funniest stuff on free (reading this, FSN?) television.
Caroline Rhea, of course, is taking over Rosie O'Donnell's show. Don't know if that's a blessing or a curse, but I'm positive about it... I've always thought she's funny. | James F'n X

On a second tangent, I'm psyched for the return of the MF'n Pyramid. I just hope the majority of the celebrities are more enganging than Wayne Brady.

No. But it is going into syndication and hosted Meredith Viera from The View.

It's still a million. Also, there won't be any fastest finger rounds anymore. (hopefully ditto for celebrity editions) The affiliate that's airing it out of Buffalo is hyping a contestant search as "if you get on the show, you're in the hotseat".

| #11 Posted on 20.8.02 2135.09 | So if there's a contestant search, I guess you can't qualify by phone, huh? That's kinda sucky... I thought that was one of the downfalls of the show, that they replaced smarter, entertainingly dorky people with dumber, blander people. Oh well. I'll still try to get on ;)

Millionaire will also, IIRC, have a time limit on the questions -- no more 12-minute edits down to, say 1.5. I think it'll do pretty good just for curiosity's sake, and then it'll tank or stagnate from there.
Hopefully, Caroline does as well as Rosie did before Rosie went political. As much as Wayne Brady might do OK, BVT's track record for variety shows aren't the best (sans Reege). | Grimis

That was the problem with the original. It became a political problem for only smart people to be able to qualify to get on there. So they had to go off and find contestants in other, more politically correct ways. | Teppan-Yaki

It looks like Contestant Coordinators are allegedly pissing off auditioners, saying that the only shows to come back to network slots will be celeb shows (which is what killed it in the first place) and that Meredith is doing *SO FANTASTIC IT LEAVES A FUZZY FEELING IN YOUR STOMACH* good, that Reege is an afterthought.
