Zach Quinto , who we know as Sylar on Heroes is going to be the new Spock in Abrams Star Trek film - and Leonard Nimoy gets to play Spock again as well. I bet we have Kirk and Spock in a Federation old folks home looking back on their careers to start the movie.
I love how this story refers to the character as "Dr. Spock"
In another article I read, when asked about Quinto playing Spock, Nimoy said "logical".
Quinto looks a lot like a young Nimoy - who is out there that resembles a young Shatner?
Screwed up my little thread logo - should have been this...

Sorry - I put a big one in before and it looked fine. I bet you, oh sneaky dictator, fixed that one behind my back.

Wasn't Kirk's future fairly well laid out in the initial first Next Generation movie? Or is that history being re-written?

That's true! Kirk died in that one. I forgot about that. Let me see what Memory Alpha says about it.
Memory Alpha says that the stuff with the Enterprise-B takes place later in the same year as Star Trek VI. They could have the scenes in this movie taking place in that time in between, I suppose.
As long as they don't like they did in the books Shatner wrote, where a Romulan-Borg alliance resurrected him, and brainwashed him into killing Picard, until he was captured and returned to normal on Deep Space Nine. |
