According to the National Enquirer (so take it with a grain of salt), but also being repeated elsewhere, Patrick Swayze has been receiving treatment for pancreatic cancer, but he has not been responding to chemotherapy as well as his doctors had hoped, and have given him a prognosis of five weeks to live.
First Jeff Healey, now Swayze. I hope Sam Elliott doesn't keel over anytime soon.
A representative for Patrick Swayze says he is being treated for pancreatic cancer but is well enough to continue working.
The "Dirty Dancing" actor has a very limited amount of disease and appears to be responding well to treatment, according to Dr. George Fisher, Swayze's physician. The doctor's prognosis was included in a statement released Wednesday by Swayze's representative, Annett Wolf.
"Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects," the statement said.
