RAW and Smackdown present the 19th annual Survivor Series, LIVE from Detroit, Michigan on Sunday, November 27th, 2005!

10-Man Elimination Match:
Eric Bischoff got irked at Vince McMahon allowing Smackdown to appear on RAW's return to the USA Network, so he led the RAW roster (mostly the heels) to run off Smackdown...and that started this interbrand feud. Smackdown's team of Rey Mysterio & Matt Hardy beat RAW's team of Chris Masters & Gene Snitsky, and the feud's intensified since then...
TEAM RAW [combined 1560 lbs]: Shawn Michaels [San Antonio, TX; 225 lbs], Kane [Parts Unknown; 326 lbs; World Tag Team Champion], The Big Show [Tampa, FL; 507 lbs; World Tag Team Champion], Chris Masters [Los Angeles, CA; 275 lbs] & Carlito Colon [The Caribbean; 234 lbs]
TEAM SMACKDOWN [combined 1303 lbs]: Dave Batista [Washington, DC; 317 lbs; World Heavyweight Champion], Bobby Lashley [Colorado Springs, CO; 265 lbs], Rey Mysterio [San Diego, CA; 175 lbs], Randy Orton [St. Louis, MO; 250 lbs] & John Layfield [New York City; 296 lbs]
Workrate Potential: Could be a decent brawl, but with only Michaels & Mysterio entering the match with reputations of being consistently good workers, this could end up being a clusterfrick.
PICK: Team RAW. They've pretty much established Smackdown as the loser brand, and I can't see them stopping now.

One Fall for the WWE Championship:
Angle wants the WWE Title because Cena's a joke. He got a DQ win at Unforgiven, didn't win (but didn't get pinned) at Taboo Tuesday, and now Bischoff gives him his deserved one-on-one title shot...again. Angle's new personal referee Daivari will obviously be the referee. And he's EVIL!
John Cena [West Newbury, MA; 240 lbs; WWE Champion] vs. Kurt Angle [Pittsburgh, PA; 232 lbs]; Special Referee is Khosrow Daivari [Minneapolis, MN; 203 lbs]
Workrate Potential: Good, verging on great. Angle's bring it, despite the tally on his body, and Cena's carryable.
PICK: Cena retains. Since he's already copying Stone Cold with his feud with Heel Authority Figure (Bischoff), I see him giving the FU to Daivari and using his hand to count the pinfall on Angle.

Last Man Standing Match:
Flair won the Intercontinental Title while HHH was on vacation. HHH came back and destroyed Flair, claiming he'd become crazily mediocre and proud of it. They tangled at Taboo Tuesday in an awesome cage match for the title...which Flair won. Bischoff made a rematch.
Ric Flair [Charlotte, NC; 220 lbs; WWE Intercontinental Champion] vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley [Greenwich, CT; 260 lbs]
Workrate Potential: Potential to be great, considering the effort the two put in at Taboo Tuesday.
PICK: HHH, but a close finish.

One Fall:
This better be quick.
Eric Bischoff [Chandler, AZ; RAW General Manager] vs. Theodore Long [Atlanta, GA; Smackdown General Manager]
Workrate Potential: Comedy match. Anything else will be terrible.
PICK: Long wins.

One Fall for the WWE Women's Championship:
Melina won a Battle Royal on the Eddie Guerrero Memorial edition of RAW, eliminating Trish to win. This week, she had MNM kidnap Trish and demanded a title shot.
Trish Stratus [Toronto, ONT; WWE Women's Champion; accompanied by Mickey James] vs. Melina Perez [Los Angeles, CA; accompanied by MNM]
Workrate Potential: All depends on how good Melina is. Trish has shown she can carry limited workers (*cough*Lita*cough*), so if Melina is any good at all, this could be good.
PICK: Melina. Trish has been champion since January, and I can see them switching a title to Smackdown to continue the feud. I can also see Trish (or Mickey) winning the title back at Armageddon or the Royal Rumble.

Match One of the Best of Seven Series for the vacant WWE United States Championship:
They hate each other! The title gets held up on Smackdown! They hate each other!
Chris Benoit [Atlanta, GA; 234 lbs] vs. Booker T [Houston, TX; 250 lbs; accompanied by Sharmell T]
Workrate Potential: Decent. These guys have good chemistry together. Seven matches will get pretty old, though, so I can see them holding some stuff back here and bringing it more at the end.
PICK: Booker via Sharmell cheatery. I'm assuming Benoit wins the series, so he needs to get in the hole early.

Interpromotional Survivor Rules Match
Team Smackdown. (Start a superman push for Rey Mysterio, leading to him winning the United States title at Wrestlemania, by having him be the sole survivor.) Freeway's absolutely right - they have established Smackdown as the secondary brand, and thus it's vitally important that Smackdown continue to get the upper-hand in interpromotional PPV affairs in order to offset that portrayal and keep both brands viable. (I wonder if the announcers will bring up the fact that if not for Brock Lesnar leaving the company, Smackdown would be undefeated in such contests. Furthermore, I wonder who's going to be calling this match - Styles & Tazz, anyone?)

WWE Championship
JOHN CENA v. KURT ANGLE - Special Guest Referee: DAIVARI
Cena retains. Angle has been one step ahead of Cena throughout the feud, we have a classic "babyface triumphs in the face of an impossible situation" setup with the insertion of Daivari as the guest referee, and (*groans*) the inevitable Cena/Triple H feud has been making the rounds on the house show and international tour circuits, and has been getting good reviews.

Last Man Standing - Intercontinental Championship?
It depends on that little question mark I've inserted at the top of the listing. If the title's on the line, Flair will retain, because there's no reason for Triple H to get the title (since Hunter's disgust with the pride in which Flair treated the title win was the motivation for their feud). If the title's not on the line, Triple H ekes out a win by the skin of his teeth. Either way, I hope that they set this feud aside for the time being after this one, and go back to it in March for Wrestlemania (which is when they should have saved it for in the first place).

Interpromotional Match
Teddy gets the duke for the same reasons mentioned in the initial match. As good as Bischoff is in the role of RAW GM, I think we're long overdue for a change in leadership there, and maybe this can be the start of heading down that road.

Interpromotional Match - Women's Championship
Unless they're planning to move Melina & MNM to RAW in the near future (which might be in the cards, since the RAW tag team picture is in dire straits compared to SD's), Trish will retain, with Mickie James' help. With Smackdown getting the upper hand in the main event, RAW can win this battle. I do think the aforementioned move is in the cards - but it's more likely that Melina will get the title at New Year's Revolution or the Royal Rumble if that's the case.

Match 1, Best of Seven Series - United States Championship
Unlike last summer with the best of five series with Cena, Booker will get the early lead this time (though he'll still ultimately lose the series, since Booker won the last best-of-seven with Benoit in WCW). This is in large part because the correct booking for most of the other matches going into the PPV is for babyfaces to win.

It's good to see that the WWE isn't backing away from Batista or Cena. There's still some questions lingering over a few of the draft moves they either made or didn't make (Jericho being a prime example), but the stage is set for a solid run to Summerslam that may send the indicator down. The longer Triple H stays away is also a plus...

Just for the sake of brevity, I'm stealing Texas Kelly's format. Hope ya don't mind.

Interpromotional Survivor Rules Match

They've positioned Team Smackdown as having the odds stacked against them, and they've definitely been the faces in this feud. Furthermore, they really need Smackdown to go over so as to not reinforce the view that Smackdown is indeed the lesser of the two brands. Winner: TEAM SMACKDOWN

WWE Championship
JOHN CENA v. KURT ANGLE - Special Guest Referee: DAIVARI

I really can't see them taking the belt off Cena, although it would probably be best to have him drop the title, since he's starting to get a good amount of boos and scaling him down a little bit might help. Regardless, they should really consider tweaking his character. Winner: JOHN CENA

Last Man Standing - Intercontinental Championship?

The question mark (added by Texas Kelly) is appropriate considering that this feud has done nothing but make the IC title a complete afterthought. I don't understand why they didn't have HHH interfere in a match to cost Flair the title. Then again, I also don't understand the point of this feud thus far. Winner: HHH (New IC champ? Who knows.)

Interpromotional Match

WHY? Winner: ERIC BISCHOFF after some shenanigans.

Interpromotional Match - Women's Championship

As bad as Women's Title defenses have been in the past, I shudder to think what would happen if they put that belt on Smackdown. The way they executed the announcement of this match really made it seem like an afterthought, so it's more or less a no-brainer. Winner: TRISH STRATUS

Match 1, Best of Seven Series - United States Championship

Eight years ago I would have LOVED this. By the way, as I typed that, I was shocked as to how long ago that really was. I don't know how smart it is to start a Best of Seven series on a PPV, since people really won't think that the outcome matters all that much, especially since it's ALWAYS going to go the full 7. Winner: CHRIS BENOIT

Wow. I understand a good chunk of the top talent on both RAW and Smackdown is in the main event elimination match, but does that card ever look weak.

I'd ask you what your point is... but I'm afraid you'll start talking about how great TNA is again. The Booker T/Chris Benoit match has a belt as a focus and Melina's competing for a belt despite being a SmackDown superstar™. Do they have a match in the Free For All? I'd play a hunch that they'd put a Cruiserweight championship match in that slot. That's almost half the matches of the night.

Team RAW v.s Team Smackdown: I want to say Smackdown has been treated okay during this feud, and they certainly SHOULD win just based on the matchups, but I have RAW going over here.

Kurt Angle v.s John Cena: Vince wants Cena as a long-term champ, but Angle has been petitioning him for the title. Should be interesting to see the outcome- I'm gonna say last week's booing of Cena in his backstage segment helps Vince decide to go with Kurt.

Ric Flair v.s Triple H: Triple H SHOULD win this, but I can't see him with the IC title. Still, he'll go over after Flair won at TT.

Eric Bischoff v.s Teddy Long: Smackdown loses the big match, so Long gets a victory here.

Melina v.s Trish Stratus: Smackdown has some women that can wrestle, so Melina COULD win the title. But I think Trish retains.

Booker T. v.s Chris Benoit: Benoit fights off Sharmell's interference for the win in match #1.

Team RAW v.s Team Smackdown

Everyone is saying Team RAW, which could be the case, but I see WWE doing a "rag-tag band from the loser show picks up the win" angle here. It'll do more for the Smackdown show for the stars to beat the RAW stars. Team Smackdown.

Whichever team loses will implode and start off a feud on their show.

Kurt Angle v.s John Cena

I like Cena as champ, and it's amazing (in a good way) that Cena and Batista have held onto the titles as long as they have. Based on Cena's promo on Monday, though, I think they're going to "cool down" Cena a little and repackage him to win the belt back down the road. Angle.

Ric Flair v.s Triple H

Non-title, right? HHH. Flair won the last one, and it only stands to reason that HHH picks up the win here.

Eric Bischoff v.s Teddy Long

If Bischoff beat Ric Flair, he can beat Teddy Long.

Melina v.s Trish Stratus

Melina due to MNM interference.

Booker T vs Chris Benoit

First match kinda dictates that the heel will win, so Booker T wins here.

Booker beats Benoit to go up 1-0

Melina cheats to beat Trish, or maybe gets some assistance from Mickie James, who screws up while trying to help Trish

Bischoff beats Long with help from Coach

Cena beats Angle after a surprise appearance from Bret Hart, who knocks out Daivari to prevent yet another Survivor Series screwjob.....just kidding. I think Cena still wins, since having Angle go over through this whole feud and then finally win the belt doesn't make a ton of booking sense, plus I think WWE is building to Cena/HHH at Wrestlemania.

HHH beats Ric Flair in a good, but slow, match

I'm not sure if this has been officially added to the card or not, but Ken Kennedy should beat Matt Hardy.

At some point during the show, Batista is once again jumped in the back, taking him out of the match. His replacement? Undertaker.

* Lashley makes Masters submit in a full nelson
* Michaels pins Lashley with a superkick
* Undertaker pins Carlito
* Michaels pins Undertaker after a "missed" Orton chairshot
* Orton sneaks in to RKO Michaels for the pin and steals the glory
* Big Show and Kane team up to destroy Orton and pin him with a double chokeslam
* JBL gets himself and Kane counted out
* Rey beats Big Show in an upset to win it for Team Smackdown....this also sets up their match for the special Tuesday Smackdown this week.

Bischoff vs. Long: Teddy Long wins via SD interfence with a less than equal amount of RAW reinforcements to stop the tide. Sets up Bischoff's December Vacation.

Flair vs. Trip: Off tangent slightly, but, perhaps Trip's despisal of Warrior has to do with Laura Brannigan's song "The Warrior", where it questions Who's the Hunter, Who's the Game. Perhaps it was a foretelling of the match at Mania XII. Trip wins with the sledgehammer.

Benoit vs. Booker: Booker wins.

Melina vs. Trish: Trish wins to continue her pursuit of Moolah's title longevity record.

Cena vs. Angle: If creative was creative, they could use Davairi to facilitate a double turn. But, that might hurt CD sales. Cena wins as the Road To Mania commences.

RAW vs. SD: RAW wins after Orton walks out and leaves Batista to get defeated. Sets up Orton winning the belt at the next PPV, and puts a target on his back once he gets the belt that everyone in the brand wants to beat him, while also allowing him not to get pinned prior to winning the belt.

It has nothing to do with TNA. It has to do with the last 2 years, WWE constantly pushing RAW as the main brand over Smackdown and giving it the more prominent PPV focus. I just think its bad they've consistently pushed Smackdown as the inferior product and it comes off as such.

Except, as CRZ pointed out, the logic behind your "only RAW titles are being defended" statement was ridiculously flawed.

Quick picks:

Team SmackDown, RAW implodes the next night and Carlito/Masters beat Kane/Show for the tag belts
Angle via heel chicanery
Booker via the same
Bischoff after RAW interference, with a post-match beatdown
HHH, brutalising Flair
Trish, because one midcard face has to go over

This will get added at the end of each post you make, below an horizontal line. This should preferably be kept to a small enough size.

Team RAW vs. Team Smackdown
HBK, the Giants, the guy with the finisher that no one has broken out of and Carlito 'Cheater' Cool... tough to beat and probably won't be.

Ric Flair vs HHH
HHH is going to win this one... Then he and Flair can have a "Hell in a Cell" match at Armageddon.

Kurt Angle vs John Cena
Cena retains here. He FU's Daivari, new ref comes down and Cena wins.

Eric Bischoff vs Teddy Long
Smackdown rushes the ring to get some retribution from losing earlier that night. Bischoff calls for team RAW, they don't run down because they told him that they don't care about him. Long wins here.

Booker T. vs Chris Benoit
Booker T. gets the first couple of wins because Benoit doesn't play dirty until he's down 0-2.

Melina vs Trish Stratus
Trish wins with help from Mickie James. Unless MNM defect to RAW, I can't see them allowing Melina to take the title over to the show that features the most non-wrestling Divas.

But RAW's main Divas lately have been Torrie and Candice (with Victoria being a bodyguard). Smackdown could certainly put together two matches with Christy and... someone else they have... until the Royal Rumble where Trish gets her rematch. It's not like they haven't had the Women's Title sitting around undefended for months at a time before.

Not that I don't think Trish will win. But that's due more to the horrible build up they threw together at the last minute.
