Well this one looks worse than the Cena/Big Show led match. Plus Mitch and Arn will only be at rignside. This is a 4 on 4 match.

| #46 Posted on 9.11.06 1502.24 | I'm actually looking forward to this PPV. Maybe it's because there is a focus on the nostalgic Team Elimination match type or maybe it's to do with the way the matches are being announced day. Either way SS is the only other WWE PPV of 2006 (the other being ECE One Night Stand) that I've taken any interest in. 2006 has been such a terrible year for WWE fans...

Not that I disagree, but why sacrifice the natural order of 5 on 5 for the sake of a few bucks? I'm living in a land of confusion now with this match (after I spent hours coming to grips with the hodgepodge makeup of Cena and Show's teams). Duggan has issues with the Squad - make him the 5th team member.

Arn and Mitch are just in the corners of the teams.
Well that's a relief, I'm pretty sure if Arn tries to wrestle he jumps above Angle in the deathpool ratings.

If Verne teamed with Bruiser and Crusher in the 80's, that 3 man team might have come close to hitting 200. Actually, this 4 man team is much closer to 250 than 200. In order for the universe not to implode, Flair must turn on Dusty. I wish somehow they could have attempted to recreate the magic of the night in '99 when Arn tried to tag into a match and the crowd went delirious. One of the last truly great Nitro moments. | chill

In the meantime, this PPV might attract viewers who've stayed away from WWE TV for the last couple years or more, like myself. If it's all elimination matches, count me in for the sake of nostalgia.

According to everyone's Wikipedia profiles, it's 228 combined for Flair, Piper, Slaughter & Rhodes, and 278 if you feel like adding Arn in. To put this in perspective, the combined age of the Spirit Squad is 93 (126 if you include Mitch).

Not surprising. That one is being announced on Smackdown so I figured they use today's announcements on one of the matches announced tonight. Could definitely be another great match though.
