You knew he would find another job and it sounds like Bill will have power in his new role in Atlanta, not to mention he may also be the head coach when the 2007 season is over.

Thoughts?

Parcells said he has no plans to return to coaching.

He aint getting back into coaching, unless "no viable candidates are available". Which means, he'll be the coach there next season.

So Parcells told Blank they had a deal last night, and then said no deal this morning cause the Dolphins offered him a better job.

Did everyone get together and just decide it would be funny to shit all over Blank this year or what? That has to be the most depressed/unlucky man in the world right now.

It's funny the two teams most badly burned by nomads were Miami and Atlanta and they both go after a known vagabond. Blank should know better than to get mixed up with a guy as shady as Parcells, he's the master of the bait and switch. I wouldn't touch him these days I just don't see him staying committed to a program for all that long.

But what this DOES do for Miami at least in the short term is give them a rudder for the next few years, and by the time he's ready to quit again, hopefully he'll have left the team in better shape than the one he inherited. And more importantly than THAT it's giving the fans something to be excited for so that their season ticket holders don't pack it in as they're wont to do after a one-win season.

The big unknown is that being that there's going to be a new sherrif in town is where that leaves Cameron after a disasterous season.
