I will admit it. I dig reality shows, especially the ones with eliminations happening every "week." This includes Survivor, Amazing Race and The Mole.

So I got caught up in the eliminating aspect of MTV's Surf Girls show. Well, okay, that and the cute girls in bikinis for most of the program. Hey, and the surfing isn't always half bad neither.

The problem then with this show is the fact that it was built and hyped up by the stipulation of girls getting eliminated. Well, thoughout the shows, many weeks they won't make an elimination.

Case in point: Last week the previews for the program show lots of girls talking about being scared about getting eliminated from the show. In fact, they show Jenna getting upset. Then of course, at the show nobody gets eliminated.

Earlier tonight, we get the beginning of the show and the "continuation" of the "elimination meeting." What happens? You guessed it, nobody gets eliminated. Oh, we get plenty of platitudes about picking up your game, and you could be going home if you stop trying, but nothing.

Towards the end of the program we get another judges' meeting and this time they will decide who goes. What do they decide? The bottom two girls (Jenna and Vivian) must have a surf off to decide who will stay and who will go. Okay, sounds interesting...oh wait...it's ANOTHER to be continued. We don't see any previews of the contest for the elimination that we were screwed of seeing...AGAIN.

I'm tired of shows that talk about the eliminating as a huge factor and then not eliminate anybody. Well, I guess I could go back to watching Raw. Heh.

Molly over Trish on Heat? WWE, you're the best. And don't let anybody tell you any different.

Wow, MTV tooling around with a reality show? SURELY you jest. I mean, that would mean that not only Colin, but also Melissa AND Lori would have had to be lying about the Real World/Road Rules Battle of the Sexes on their personal sites...

The only reality show I sort of watched was "Real World, Road Rules Battle of The Sexes." Then I realized Puck was annoying, so I stopped watching it.

I did catch part of "Real World Paris" and I noticed that one of the girls looks a lot like Steph.

That would be Mallory. She's a cutie.

Anyway, I caught one of those Surf Girls marathons that MTV always has with their shows where either late at night or on weekends they show all the episodes they have so far of their series'. I also saw about 2 episodes where no one was eliminated. Once when one of the girls (Kula) was out with chicken pox and couldn't compete, so they let her stay, and I think the episode that was mentioned above. It is pretty annoying how MTV's teasing the eliminations so much and trying to milk as much suspense as they can.

And I never understood that ion life saver thing on the last Real World/Road Rules challenge.

The only time that the "Ion" lifesaver was cool was when Jamie tried to give it to Veronica. Poor Mosely had to explain the deal to Jamie, and Veronica had to leave. Then, two episodes later, Emily bailed when James got voted off. That show cracked me up, but it did entertain me.

Read the recaps the cast members posted on their personal sites (I believe they were all mentioned here earlier, so I'll recap at the end of the post) and you'll get some insight on how truly clueless the people were behind the show. The Ion managed to get screwed up somehow.

So, the sites:

Lori: everythinglori.com
Melissa: princessmelissa.com

I'll attest to the greatness that was Colin's recaps to the RR/RW: BOTS show. They were always more entertaining than the episodes themselves (and I loved the show, so that's saying something). Melissa was also fun to read during the show, but Colin took the cake.

Too bad this "honesty" will probably keep Colin, Melissa and perhaps Lori from competing on the next installment (if there is another installment, that is).

Yeah, when I started reading his recaps, I thought "Wait... when the hell did YOU get to be so funny? You were, like, Bland Guy From Hawaii Who Dated Amaya".

I wouldn't blame him if he did. It'd be like when Hagler quit after he didn't beat Leonard. He did say he was going to protest and that there wouldn't be a third Mosley fight.
