I picked up 8 Mile from Blockbuster to see the movie, and it was decent. The special features were interesting, especially the rap battles portion.
But then came the Superman video. Now I love the song in the album version, uncensored and everything. Now of course Eminem released a more radio-friendly version to play on FM radio stations.
Now all the commercials for the DVD listed the Superman video as being uncensored (or it could be depending if you picked up the uncensored version). The Blockbuster version said that it was uncensored.
The weird thing is that this video is kinda-sorta censored. It's the craziest thing I have seen. Sometimes the "Just sit yo ass on that fucking runway ho" becomes an "empty" runway. After the next verse, they leave in the "fucking" word. Likewise they would leave out other curse words...occasionally. (I mean, did they reach their swear limit halfway through the song and had to abandon it?)
Now the video itself is obviously uncensored, with the topless nudity from the porn star (don't know her name) and Eminem's naked ass (don't ask).
So I guess the question is: Who else out there has the DVD? Is the video uncensored? Or is it censored occasionally, like my copy was? And why wouldn't Eminem be pissed at the choppy censoring on the supposedly "uncensored" video?
The Hurricane main eventing a Raw show? See, the WWE is listening to the 'Net. Well, they're listening to me anyways. Look for the next push to go to Molly.
Yeah, I got the "uncensored" version of the DVD as well and was thrown off by the choppy censoring. Actually, I found it annoying and it really affected my enjoyment of the video. I don't know, I'm guessing there is a good reason for it, but I can't figure it out...
The funny thing, Kevin Smith and his animated Clerks crew seem to hate Family Guy. Or that's the impression I got from the animated Clerks DVD set. They even went as far as calling it "Emmy award winning shit."
