It's official, virtual unknown Brandon Routh will be Bryan Singer's SUPERMAN. Amy Acker(ANGEL) is a strong possibility for Lois Lane. The film will take place after SUPERMAN II and possibly feature General Zod!
THE INCREDIBLES, coming out November 5th will be the 'lucky' film to have the REVENGE OF THE SITH trailer attached to it. STAR WARS fans... be warned.
Jamie Fox and Colin Farrell are hoping to start filming MIAMI VICE as soon as possible.
John Woo is saying in interviews that he wants Nic Cage as Skeletor and Jason Lewis as He-Man for his MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE film.
In a 'WHAT WERE THEY THINKING' casting coup, Burt Reynolds will be playing Boss Hogg in the DUKES OF HAZZARD film. Willie Nelson will be playing Uncle Jesse. Johnny Knoxville and Sean William Scott are Luke and Bo Duke, respectivly.

USA's The 4400 has been picked up for a second season... well, at least I'M happy about it.
The WB is wanting more ANGEL? Either the four movies featuring different characters, a spin off series, or (SURPRISE!) another season? Whedon seems up for it, but most of the cast has moved on already.
Jane Seymour joins the cast of SMALLVILLE later this year. I think episode nine, for a five episode arc.
KOLCHAK: The NIGHT STALKER is returning to tv! The series is being reworked by Frank Spotnitz, who did work on MILLENNIUM and was responsible for the LONE GUNMEN spin off.
Rick Berman wants Shatner to do an episode of ENTERPRISE, but it's not what you think. The idea is to do it like the Tribbles episode of DS9 and use old footage, while redubbing Kirks voice to go with the plot of the ENTERPRISE episode. Hmmm...
Sci-Fi has a 'reworking' of THE WIZARD OF OZ coming soon. Called TIN MEN, it centers around Dorthy who gets trassported to an alternate universe. She finds out how to return home but has to travel through the 'Outer Zone' to get there. She meets up with three other 'strange travelers' and they are all being hunted by that universes police, called 'TINMEN'. Sounds interesting.

Do you have a link/source on that Angel information? I could totally see the WB doing an about face now, knowing that the cast has moved on, so that they can save face with the fans to get them in good spirits for whatever crap they're going to spit forth next.

My brain has fried from reading all of this. I will be waiting in line for Incrediables two days before. I just don't like the idea of a new Superman, in before Christopher's death, now I'm really hating the idea. I just wish Bryan stayed with X3, frickin Phoenix Saga for God's Sakes.
I wouldn't get my hopes up for Angel Season Six, I think most of the cast will be back, but honestly after the ending of Season 5 killing off most of the cast sans Angel, Spike and Illyra would not be that hard. Of course, after hearing that the original plan for Season Six was bring back Oz in Season Five to replace Wesley who die during the Illyria saga which was supposed to go on for two more episodes and end season five, it pretty much kills it.

You are a DORK.
Jamie Foxx as the 21st-century Phillip Michael Thomas? I am SO there.
No, he's a fan... albeit misguided, but still a fan. The Incredibles looks really bad. I'm sure they're not expecting it to do well opening it in November and all. I haven't even seen any ads for it yet...
-----
A few things I forgot to add...
Glen Close is joining the cast of THE SHIELD next year as the new captain of Farmington. Supposedly, she's gonna be worse then Vic!
As I mentioned in the LOST thread, it's been picked up for the rest of the season, along with DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. NBC's picked up MEDICAL INVESTIGATION and LAX for full seasons. LAX is being moved to a new night though to replace HAWAII which is this seasons first casualty.
Jimmy Kimmel will be seen for another year (at least) thanks to ABC renewing his show. He's doing like Conan was, getting renewed on a yearly basis as his ratings slowly get better, which surprisingly, they are.
Are you wondering why NBC is putting on all those episodes of FATHER OF THE PRIDE so soon in the season. Probably so it can get them done with and get out of their contract with DREAMWORKS to air them all. It's the same thing ABC did with Drew Carrey, they bought the show, it stinks, but they have to air it.

I saw the trailer on the DVD we rented and nearly killed myself laughing. It's from Pixar, so doesn't it HAVE to be good?

Every Pixar movie has opened in November except "Nemo". I don't think expectations have anything to do with it.
Pixar hasn't made a bad movie yet. Until they do, I'll be first in line. The "Toy Story" movies are especially good- even after multiple viewings. They're so much more than "kiddie flicks".

I heard the original title was going to be, "What Happens When the Writers for the Sci-Fi Channel Smoke Too Much Pot".

We got the chapter book for the School Book Fair last night and the whole premise of the movie sounded good to three kids aged 5-9, so we'll take a shot on seeing it. Like JJD, until proven otherwise, we'll go see Pixar movies.
As an update on Angel, I read on Moviepoopshoot that Joss is moving away from television for a while and Mutant Enemy is disbanding. I think that pretty much means no new season of Angel.

Angel alumna Amy Acker told a fan at an Oct. 24 fund-raiser for the Kerry presidential campaign in Los Angeles that, contrary to Internet rumors, she has never auditioned for the role of Lois Lane in Bryan Singer's upcoming Superman movie, but added that she's open to it. Acker, who played Fred/Illyria on the WB's canceled vampire series, is currently seven months pregnant.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon has ended his TV production deal with 20th Century Fox TV, effectively shuttering his Mutant Enemy production company and putting a close to his TV plans for now, Variety reported.

Whedon Denies X-Men Rumor
Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon told fans at a John Kerry fund-raising event in Los Angeles Oct. 24 that he won't be writing or directing the third X-Men movie, despite persistent rumors to the contrary. "I did promise I would say whether or not I'm going to be directing the third X-Men movie, and the answer is, I'm sorry to say, no," Whedon told fans gather for a "High Stakes 2004" event in Hollywood. "Quite frankly, I thought about it for a long time, I looked into my heart, and I realized that Fox didn't ask me to," he added, with tongue in cheek.
Whedon was one of several Buffy-related guests who appeared at the fan event, organized to raise money for the Kerry presidential campaign, which drew more than 250 fans who paid a minimum of $50 each to attend. Whedon was joined by Buffy and Angel cast members Alyson Hannigan; her real-life husband, Alexis Denisof; Nicholas Brendon; Danny Strong; Adam Busch; Amber Benson; Amy Acker and J. August Richards and Firefly star Nathan Fillion, who also stars in Whedon's upcoming Firefly movie, Serenity. Whedon also spoke via conference call to 41 other similarly themed fan parties across the country, from Alaska to Washington state to New York.
With regard to the X-Men projects, Whedon added, "Ultimately, the fact that I'm writing the X-Men every month in the Astonishing X-Men [Marvel comic] and that I have the best artists in comic books working with me is getting my 'X' fix on just fine. I'm writing a screenplay of my own right now, and it'll be nice to work on something that wasn't created by me or anybody else many years ago."

Great, so much for ever seeing what happened the Buffyverse after Armaggedon. Man, this sucks. I was looking forward to another story. I guess, this came about according to the new Angle or Buffy magazine where the new WB executives wanted to kill any Joss related programs, so I guess Joss bite the bullet. Thanks again, WB for giving us Catwoman, what looks to be a crappy Superman and giving me no hope for Batman.
Smells like a NBC version of American Idol or re-tooled Last Comic Standing. I'm gonna pass unless they have someone I've seen before from Comedy Central on it.
