Wow, I still don't believe it... but hooray for the NFC!

At least we can stop talking about Katrina now. I was so tired of that!

That Drew Brees, he's all right.

Good to see the Super Bowl has been really entertaining every year since 1998. That was no exception, as the Saints started off slow, hung around, got some late offensive fireworks, then intercepted a top 10 but not quite top QB of our time for the 31-17 win. I'd rank that in top 5, maybe top 10, SBs I've seen. Really good stuff, but not as good as last year's. Much better winner though!

This win did as much for New orleans as it did for Pittsburgh last year, but hey, a city I don't live in's fanbase won. That's as big a deal as the media SHOULD make it, but we'll see. Hooray, enjoy the parade.

Drew Brees played an amazing game today. I LOVED the onside kick by the Saints to start the second half, and I also thought going for it on fourth down in the first half was the right decision.

And how about the New Orleans kicker? First kicker in history to make three field goals of 40 yards or more in one Super Bowl.

I can't wait to hear from Tony Dungy.

I think Manning's legacy takes a big hit in this game.

I think going for it was right, but the play they ran was totally wrong.

The thing about the kicker is they said he had the 4th lowest number of career kicks for a Super Bowl kicker too, incredible.

Manning threw for over 300 yards but why did they keep calling slant passes? I knew one of them was going to be taken back sooner or later.. that shit might work against the Jaguars in Week 8 but not in the Super Bowl.

That was an all time sprint off the field by Manning at the end of the game. Must have had a commercial to film.
Jeremy Shockey caught the game winning touchdown in a Super Bowl. God, will he be even more insufferable now. After all those games with the Giants, I was shocked he didn't drop it and then complain that the ball wasn't thrown to him enough.
Since it is actually impossible for the Colts to lose a playoff game unless there is a conspiracy against them, Bill Polian will have the following rules enacted for next season: No onside kicks to start a half and it is illegal for a defensive player to move in front of a Colt receiver as he awaits the ball to arrive.
Congratulations to the Aints.

The most unpredictable move I've ever seen in all my years of watching football was the onside kick to start the second half. Even the CBS cameras weren't expecting it, as they clearly had the angle set for a conventional kickoff.

I kept waiting for the Manning comeback and part of me even thinks that Manning knew he could come back whenever he wanted. The INT just discombobulated him for the rest of the game to the point where Manning couldn't even decide if he wanted a timeout or not.

Great game played by the Saints. They played their hearts out and just kept fighting. Even when they missed the 4th down play at the end of the first half, they held Indy to one of the quickest 3 and outs I've ever seen. They didn't let up. I don't doubt they'll be back here again next year.

EDIT: I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the AWFUL halftime performance from what's left of The Who. The guitar licks were still decent, but Roger Daltrey has no vocals left. Just because they're classic, doesn't mean they can still go. Not everyone can be The Rolling Stones.

They've won 13 straight coin flips - that's nuts.

I'm a Colts fan, but I'll give credit where it's due. The Saints came up big. Gutsy call on the onside kick to open the second half, and it paid off.

Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

It's nice to be able to say for the first time ever that my Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a victory over the world champs.

Screw Peyton. He ran off the field in a hurry just like Belichick a few years back; that just confirms my suspicions about his personality even more.

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

COngrats to the Saints. I didn't think they had it in them.

Manning running off the field was the right thing to do. He's been on the other side, why would he need to stick around?
The Saints weren't exactly going to look for him to say "good game".

Good for New Orleans! Man, these last few Super Bowls have been awesome. I know Indy fans will be upset by the Saints' being America's team talk, but Manning is all over the TV, so there is your reward. I can't believe the play calling. I am going to Vegas, with Sean Peyton.

If Ralph Wilson can't afford to spend with the rest of the NFL, he should only have 2 options: Sell the naming rights to the stadium rather than having it in his name, or sell the team.
