I don't know about Eugene. I think it makes the most sense to have Orton vs. Benoit.

As bigredmachine29 pointed out, they have more than enough people to fill it. The way I predicted in the prediction thread was something like Benoit vs. HHH vs. Eugene vs. Batista vs. Y2J vs Kane, with Randy Orton vs. Edge continuing their feud in some gimmick match (I suggested 2/3 falls) I don't think Shawn Michaels is coming back for Summerslam, it makes more business sense to keep him out for a little while longer, then make that feud for a RAW PPV. Summerslam almost sells itself due to its name and history, Unforgiven (or whatever is next) does not. So, that frees up Kane, he's been floating around the ME for a while. Y2J and Batista seem to be feuding some more (that run in last week made no sense) HHH hates Eugene, Eugene probably hates HHH now, they can save HHH vs Eugene to a RAW brand PPV too. Benoit is the champion defending it against all odds. I think it makes the most sense with the way RAW has been booked lately. (A tag team match and a woman's match can fill the rest of the card)

I'd rather they'd have the ironman thing at the PPV. I've pointed this out before. The commercials can kill the flow, as proven by Brock and Angle. Something like this considering the history of both men, should be more than enough to really finish off the feud as well as pump some much needed PPV buildup. THIS is the annoyance here, giving away a surefire PPV draw match for free not too long before one of the year's big shows.

I don't mind HHH-Eugene one on one, but the thing is, Benoit's been pretty overshadowed by Eugene. Not that I'm complaining, but Eugene gets bigger cheers than the champion, which is a tad awkward considering when HHH was champ, he got the meatiest angles, but with Benoit it's not the case here. HHH-Eugene is cool with me, but not at Summerslam. IF that's what they're going for, that is.

I think it's hard to say the iron man is a surefire PPV draw match because the only other two on PPV in company history were Bret/Shawn, which was at Mania, and Rock/HHH, which drew the third-lowest buyrate of 2000, IIRC. I also don't think they want to take up an hour of a dual-brand PPV with one match.

You serious? I SO didn't know that. I was so washed up in the greatness of the Year 2000 (The Kurt thing aside), things like that went in one ear and out the other. GOD, how things change.

If somebody was a wrestling fan this time last year, but lost interest and hadn't watched all year, what do you think would be the biggest surprise/change for this person coming back to WWE after a year away? I'd go with the unmasking of Kane.
