I think Summerslam 2001 was WWE's last best ppv for wrestling. WWE has not put on a better PPV since Summerslam 2001 or Wrestlemania X-7.
Absolutely right. I still rate last years Summerslam as the best ever, and with these two outstanding PPV's, I'm still waiting for something to come up with, and WWE has to screw up big time to make SS 2002 not a great follow up to last year.

| #22 Posted on 22.8.02 1105.35 | Salami - I agree, I watched the Royal Rumble 2002 again, with the Jericho/Rock title match. The feud recap was *outstanding*. ("I AM NOT A JOKE!!!!")
The match rundowns have been awesome, and the "Rock training" and "BROCK SMASH" :-) vignettes really add a big-time feel to the event. I am really looking forward to the overall big-time feel of the event, especially the four **** match brigade, Jericho/Flair, and the title match. As for everything else, it sounds like the undercard should be serviceable.
I am especially looking forward to two things: Houston (Harlem) Hangover and Brock's SSP. Ohhhhhh, I hope...
BTW, how long does SS run this year? the usual 3 hours?
