I currently have money for a new game. Just wondering if you folks could be nice enough to help me out in which one I should get. Right now, it's;
- Animal Crossing - Madden 2003
Or getting a GBA game now, and wait till next month to get one of Metriod Prime, Sonic Mega Collection, or Jedi Outcast. Too many good games, and I can only get one (MAYBE two). Suggestions would be nice =)
Habs: 6-1-0-0. Lost to the Mapleleafs (ARG!). Renegades: Last place. All you need to know. Man of the Week: Jose Theodore hasn't lost a step. Goat of the Week: CBC for not signing Ron MacLean right away. Next VG Review: Chorno Cross. Next OSVG Review: Mike Tyson's Punchout
I'd get Animal Crossing if I were you. That game is great! Once you get Animal Crossing there's a good possibility you won't want another new game for a very very long time. Then you could get an E-Reader for the GBA and collect Animal Crossing cards for rare items or NES cards to play classic NES games like DK Jr. or Balloon Fight.
If Animal Crossing isn't your cup of tea, get Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance or Fire Pro 2 for GBA and Metroid Prime next month.

You should get Animal Crossing because then you might wind up getting a copy of Punch-Out in the game and then I can trade you something for a copy! Otherwise, you really can't go wrong with either choice. Depends on how much you like football and how much you want to spend the next few months talking about imaginary penguins like they're real people.
Originally posted by UbermonkeysNastio, if you haven't already, I would suggest renting Madden '03 first. I'm a long time Madden fan, but I thought Sega NFL 2K3 really beat the piss out of this year's edition.
And yeah man, Animal Crossing! It sounds so cool.
Wow. I thought 2K3 was incredibly awkward and mailed in, yet, IMO, Madden this year is the best sports game ever.

To be honest, Animal Crossing is a GREAT game, but it CAN be a bit boring at times. So, remember, if you're a nightowl, like I am, the game isn't going to be as fun either. I had to change my hours on night so I could actually be up during the day and make some money. Other than that, it's a great buy.
Madden is awesome as well. If you have a sibling, roommate or whatever, that's into videogames, get it for the 2 player play alone.
Again, this is all up to you and YOUR preference.

Originally posted by calvinh0560Is it easyt to find the NES games in Animal Crossing. I have only had it for two days so I dont know much about it.
Not particularly, but you should've gotten a letter in the mail from Nintendo with two games in it (or whoever the first person to play on your memory card was should've gotten it), and if you go to www.animal-crossing.com, and keep clicking where it says "Dear Pecan", you'll get a copy of NES Soccer.
Otherwise, they sometimes show up on the black market that'll roll into town once in a while, sometimes Tom Nook will give them away as raffle prizes and, I believe, you get one as a birthday present and you get one as a Christmas present, but I'm not 100% sure of either of those, obviously.

Heh, same here. The DC and PS2 games seem similar to me, other than the obvious difference of not having VMU playcalling. Sega was so ahead of it's time with that, I loved it.
IIRC, NFL2K3, Madden 2003, and Fever for the XBox are all limited to VERY EXPLICIT PLAYCALLING, as in, you're playing against 1 or more human opponents, and anyone looking at the screen sees exactly which play you pick, which I HATE. Do they not think this stuff through? Give me the Tecmo Bowl setup any day over this crap. Calling your play while your friend looks away, and doing the same while he picks his defense... not my idea of fun.
That said, I really like 2K3's franchise mode, something I admittedly haven't checked out in Madden '03.
