Saw this yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised. Keanu Reeves is convincing as a corrupt cop trying to save his own ass. Dr House plays a sneaky cop bent on taking his badge. Forrest Whitaker as the police captain in charge of Keanu's unit was superb as always. ALong the way a few twists and turns leads to a faceoff between Keanu and Forrest, which is awesome.
The story reminded me a LOT of "the shield" so I enjoyed it. Good movie, worth a see.
I just saw it, and have to say that the best part of the movie, to me, was that I had no idea what to expect from scene to scene. There were so many twists and turns, but it wasn't overdone, and it worked. Keanu Reeves was good, though he's pretty much the same character in every movie he's been in within the last 15-20 years.
The one thing this movie did have was possibly the most tiring cliche in all good guy/bad guy movies. It's the "We-are-about-to-kill-you-so-it-couldn't-possibly-hurt-to-tell-you-exactly-what-our-plan-is" narrative. It kinda never seems to work out for the bad guy once the tale is spun...
I still am, and still will. In fact, I'd say it's my favorite new show...not that there was much that's been any good. What made you stop? I still find Jesus & Ben Linus fighting crime to be enjoyable. Nothing groundbreaking but it's quite fun.
