I'll just go with the fact that most of those people saw his matches (at Rumble and NWO), and they are annoyed by him. That's why I love Canadian fans. They BOO boring. That number 1 on his trunks didn't help him at all either. They knew for a fact he's more a number 2, if you smelll... Whoops... If you know what I mean. Man, this heel Rock is hard to not imitate, LOL.

Anybody else find their weird "asshole" chant funny? They sound like "ahhs-hooole". I can make fun cause they don't like us Americans anyway.

I've lived in Toronto for 20 years and this is news to me. The Wings and the Leafs don't even play in the same conference anymore, so that rivalry is more or less dead.

I don't think anyone would boo a guy for being from Michigan.

Yeah, and it wouldn't explain Montreal the night before. A good general rule for Canada is that one city really doesn't care much for the nearest city to it. There's no way that fans in Montreal would be booing because they wanted to 'stick up for' the Toronto fans.

Other than that, FurryHippie is my hero for the day.

They did boo Steiner at the PPV and on RAW because of the little flag on his tights. And, it's a little known fact that Boston, the site of last month's Royal Rumble, contrary to popular belief is also in Canada.

Oh really??? Well the MA state tax is almost as high as Canada's taxes so I could see the confusion.

This is the same Toronto wrestling crowd that chanted "We Want Angle" during the entire Smackdown main event, in the semi finals for the tag titles a few months ago with Angle/Benoit vs. Guerreros. And you don't get any more American as Kurt's tights.

Hey the brand split really does work, we have two totally different fans Anti-American Raw T.O fans and Pro-American SD T.O fans... Or it could be that Kurt is entertaining and good and Steiners sucks.

I just hope that little comment doesn't have a negative effect on Canadian faces like Benoit and the very proud Canadian Trish in the States.

Maybe the Canadian fans were just upset they didn't get to see the ol' Superman logo on Big Poppa Pump's gear from the AOL-Time Warner days.

Maybe Lance Storm should've given 'em the old "Calgary...Alberta, Canada" line. Or would that be a death sentence in Toronto? (Enlighten me, y'all...I'm just a "stupid American.")

Well I'm walking not running here.

WTF will they do with Steiner? I guess a heel turn, though the smart thing would be to send him to OVW. If they keep him there as a draw he may someday almost make them in the black on their investment on him.

I'm also expecting all of you to refer to bad investments as Steiners from now on.

They booed because Steiner is a big huge pile of suck. His wrestling sucks and his mic work is worse. They will turn him heel only because there is nothing else left to do with him. I could see him joining HHH in Evolution much like Big Show joined up with the Undertaker a few years back after they feud ended.

Boy, HHH and Steiner in the same stable? I just may have to take up reading on Monday nights.

So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one---big hitter, the Lama---long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-galunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consiousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

I *totally* thought this was going to happen Monday when Book spent so much time getting heat on him in the RAW tag - it looked so much like the classic "hot tag immediately leads to turn that makes absolutely no sense" I spotted with alarming regularity during the (rancid) salad days of WCW. But THEN, Steiner ruined a perfectly good display of prognosticating power by running into the ring and cleaning house on Orton and Batista WITHOUT a tag. Oh well. In retrospect, it was kind of a relief that they didn't go down the "THAT MAKES NO SENSE!" route.

By the way, since when has the "1" in stars and stripes been considered a FLAG? I'm pretty sure I've been seeing that thing since the 1970s and never heard it referred to that way until Sunday.

And when will Harley-Davidson sue WWE and Steiner for using it? I'm pretty sure it's a H-D trademark. Hell, they were using that back in the AMF days. Ah, the 1970 Super Glide.

Still, everybody refuses to acknowledge the point I bought up the night of Royal Rumble -- that red, white, and blue "1" on his tights was the exact same logo on an old Kurt Angle shirt. Nobody else seemed to recognize it.
