From 411.com, via WON:

Stephanie McMahon has been pushing for a larger role on the TV broadcasts of Smackdown.

In recent months, she has been the authority figure as the General Manager, but hasn't been that involved in too many storylines.

She would like to work an angle with Sable once the Sable/Torrie Wilson program runs its course. No word on whether Vince McMahon has approved such a program.

First, the title of this thread calls for some type of implant joke. Secondly, why would the head writer need to push for a larger role? The only person who could deny it to her is Vince and since when does Vince forbid McMahon's from appearing on television?

She was shown talking to HHH backstage last night at JD, so maybe they're resurrecting that horse for another beating.

Steph going to do a lesbian angle with Sable? I wonder if Vince would approve that. That is about all I could see happening. What else could they fued over? Why should Steph be involved in an angle anyway? I like her GM role because it really keeps her off the screen and lets the wrestlers be the real star of the show as it should be.

I think she and Hunter are going to resume their on-screen relationship again, to coincide with their real-life wedding in the autumn.

I'd ask why Stephanie is on TV PERIOD. She's a bad actress, she's not a wrestler, and she's not that attractive (aside from the horny 12 year olds who equate grotesquely swollen jugs to beauty). She doesn't bring anything to the table in a positive way. At least Shane could wrestle and Vince could act evil.

The context is lost in the Observer ripping off by shitty website process.

I hope this comes from our credible friends "backstage sources" and "the feeling in the locker room". 'Cuz they're proven accurate.

I don't think it does, because I didn't read "the boys" at least 3 times in the quote.

I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner. Steph is the shot in the arm Smackdown needs. More Vince and Steph!!

In all seriousness, didn't they ruin Smackdown enough by removing Heyman from creative? Vince is back on TV full time, and now Steph wants more air time (allegedly). Seven months ago, Smackdown was what wrestling shows should be. Now, it's like watching ESPN Classic.

Venom, grossly swollen jugs have a beauty all their own!

Seriously, if it's true, I'm not surprised. After all, a McMahon (or a f*ck-buddy of a McMahon) is all you need to generate high ratings, right?!

BTW please, PLEASE! Don't even JOKE about a Stephanie/Sable lesbian angle... Hey, I dig seeing chicks making out like any red-blooded American Male chauvinist pig! But this?? There's good lesbian making out and BAD lesbian making out. Stephanie and Sable would be BAD, m'kay?

Two hours later they decided to stop at a diner
Because they loved the smell of eggs and coffee
I just had to smoke a cigarette and wear a hat
By the time that they set off again, the sun was starting to set
It made the sky look red like a nuclear ray
One of them said "what do you want more than anything
in this whole wide world
Do you want money, do you want sex, or do you want all that success?"
I thought about that one myself
(Then they came upon the thing)

If I may diverge for a minute - "red-blooded American Male" as a code-name for "heterosexual:" could WWE pick a more obnoxious way to say this?

I mean, look - whether WWE likes this or not, many homosexuals have fought and died in the armed forces alongside their heterosexual comrades, and it's really obnoxious and offensive that they would choose to call only the heterosexual males "red-blooded."

For all their jingoistic ferver, perhaps WWE only chooses to "support the heteroesexual troops."

But what else is new.

Sorry for diverging from the subject.:S

Yep, offending minorities... THe WWE has been practicing it for years, and they're only getting better at it.

Just for the record, sorry if I offended you Vega14k, it wasn't intended.

No, no - your post didn't offend me. I interpreted your post as being tongue-in-cheek.

Nah, ESPN Classic is better because Hogan's somewhat mobile in those AWA matches.

I wouldn't mind Steph getting a more hands on role and Shane coming in as the GM. It would great to see Shane on TV again and Steph is way better as a heel.
