The seemingly innocent lyrics site will infect your computer something fierce...expect toolbars, random sex site popups, fake anti-spyware programs to show up on your PC...

Hey, it wasn't just me. Somehow I wound up there, and my Norton and Microsoft Anti-Spyware went absolutely nuts. Good to know that it was the site, and not something deep inside my computer.

I've noticed that's a problem with a LOT of lyrics sites, especially the ones that appear towards the top of any Google search you do for lyrics.

It's gotten to the point where I try to find a website that doesn't have the word "lyrics" in the URL, or a band's official site. You just can't trust the internet like you used to.

I blame lyrics.com for killing my Compaq. Its been repaired since then, but I've also bought an entirely new computer (so bad was the infection).

With the recent windows IE issue, the fix was to use a different browser. In the past, we've pushed people to use FF via a banner add and openly supporting it. I thought that this highly critical was important enough to mention it.
