Okay so in NCAA Football does a blocked Extra Point count as an attempt? On another board there is a debate as to whether Ohio State Freshmen Kicker Aaron Pettrey went 5 for 5 yesterday (3 off the season record for the school) or 5/6 yesterday. He had one blocked, which to me, would mean he went 5/6. However, ESPN shows him at 5/5:

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=183924

But Sportsline says he went 5/6:

Normally I wouldn't care, but I tried to research in the NCAA rulebook and could not find a good answer so now it is driving me insane. I know there are some incredibly sharp college football fans here so I put it to you guys to help out.

Does a blocked Extra Point count as an attemtpt in Division 1 NCAA Football?

It should be an attempt. The ESPN page has been corrected and now also shows him at 5/6.

Of course, you realized that you managed to jinx at least all the football teams. I'm not sure if you can jinx the Wild outside of the hockey forum. Beware the curse of the Wienerville sports forums! -Jag
