The weinerboard statistics are awesome and scary.
Already the site has projected the date of my
5,000th post, and it isn't far off at thanks to
an projected posting rate of 60+ posts per day.
Thankfully my postrate will never be that high
again after a few hours of inactivity... I hope.

Hey, can that be done? The average words per post part, I mean, cause that would be interesting to know; at least for ME that is.

Not as easily as the other one is. The projected date is based off a formula using your registration date and number of posts - the words per post would have be counted and updated in your user record after every single post. It's not something that I think I will ever feel passionate enough about to do.

Maybe Adam or CRZ will be really, really, really, reallly bored one night.

Your analogy is similar to:

"They already have cars that you can drive, why not blenders?"
"I can already write with my hands, why not my pancreas?"
"They already have beef that I can eat, why not granite?"

-- my new favorite quote from Slashdot comments.

Well, I just thought it would be cool to be able
to measure whose average post is short and whose
average post is long, especially since mine tends
to be longer than most, but I guess you're saying
that size doesn't really matter to you. I've heard
people say that before. Typically their posts were
shorter than average.

Out of respect - well, perhaps "respect" is too strong a word - to tomvejada (whose ten thousand posts all look alike) we will probably never track the average number of words per post. ;-)

Yeesh I first read this as "prostate" instead of postrate.

I actually WANT to know what my average is, so I think I'm gonna be counting for a while... What the fuck is WRONG with me!

You must have been really confused when you got to the
post where I talked about mine being longer than most.

Yeah, I saw that too when i was surfing the web from school today. Just thought I couldn't see the different forums cause I wasn't logged in. But I seem to remember being able to usually read everything when not logged in, just not being able to post.
