The weinerboard statistics are awesome and scary. Already the site has projected the date of my 5,000th post, and it isn't far off at thanks to an projected posting rate of 60+ posts per day. Thankfully my postrate will never be that high again after a few hours of inactivity... I hope.
Not as easily as the other one is. The projected date is based off a formula using your registration date and number of posts - the words per post would have be counted and updated in your user record after every single post. It's not something that I think I will ever feel passionate enough about to do.
Maybe Adam or CRZ will be really, really, really, reallly bored one night.
Your analogy is similar to:
"They already have cars that you can drive, why not blenders?" "I can already write with my hands, why not my pancreas?" "They already have beef that I can eat, why not granite?"
Well, I just thought it would be cool to be able to measure whose average post is short and whose average post is long, especially since mine tends to be longer than most, but I guess you're saying that size doesn't really matter to you. I've heard people say that before. Typically their posts were shorter than average.
JUDGE (looking up) Well, how do you measure yourself against other golfers?
I am reminded that Daylight Savings Time begins this weekend in most of Europe, ENDS in Australia and North America waits until next weekend. Since our server runs on Central time, we won't turn our clock ahead an hour until the third of April.
