When the crowd cheered as the news broke, given the venue I honestly didn't know what that meant.
Still, you wonder if this is just the beginning of unraveling the business empire that sprung up around Penn State football. Once the civil suits start, the lawyers will naturally be looking for where the money is.
Just an awful business.

Sandusky is going to prison for life and the other PSU administrators accused of covering this up are probably going to jail as well. Joe and Jerry where the foundation of Penn State with the football program, Second Mile and other behind scene things that the area knows about, but the rest of the country could care less about. Without those two, Penn State as Linebacker U is dead.
O'Brien is doing a good job in recruiting, but I get the feeling most of that is due to Urban Meyer and Michigan just giving them left overs. Most PSU fans are happy with a winning record and with their shitty out of conference schedule which they always had, they will be 9-3 and try to put the ghosts of the past out of sight even while the civil suits are going on. I also expect some of the victims not to pursue them. A lot of them, don't want the spotlight again. I am sure there will be some payouts, but nothing past a few $100,00. The fundraiser for next year will cover all of it. If it doesn't Governor Corbett who has ties to the trust, and was already saying we should put it behind us this week, will find a way to make sure the state will cover it. Probably by firing more teachers, cops or so on.
Today was a good day for the Pennsylvania court system as it put both him and a Philly Clergy behind bars for screwing around with kids. Hopefully, both will rot in prison and in hell for this. But, you never know with our four hundred appeals process we have and a Supreme Court that well, I mean we will see next week. I don't expect Sandusky to get out, but for some reason, it doesn't feel like its enough, but that is up to the victims to decide.

Alabama has been slightly decent the last 2 seasons on their non-conference schedule. | lotjx
