For the most part, yes. However, they've now struck gold with Kane of all people, and actually seem to be going in the right direction with it. It seems to be pulling in the viewers to boot....too bad they can't book the rest of Raw on that level.....

This really is their chance. It seems that for the first time in months, they are pulling in new viewers with a good storyline and not just a big name coming back or a gimmick match.
I agree that things are much improved on the RAW side. If Triple H goes out with injury I think it only helps the WWE long term because they will have to elevate some people and freshen up the world title picture. On Smackdown things could be fun for a while with Angle & Lesnar fueding. Lesnar should have been heel all along and I think will turn on next week's show. I think things are in a lot better spot than they were 6 months ago. Also, things could get better because in the next 6 months you will have the return of Batista, Rock and Foley. Orton & Cena look to be on their way to the top too.
The problem with Raw is that while they're doing a hell of a good job with the Kane storyline, it seems to be coming at the expense of the rest of the show. The top midcard guys are still stuck in the same Booker/Christian and Steiner/Test feuds they were doing three months ago, while Chris Jericho has nothing. It's as if there is a fixed amount of storytelling ability within the Raw writers, and they've decided to put it all into one program and leave the rest of the show to itself.

Well Steiner/Test makes sense that it brews on for a while. Steiner now has Tests girl so it only makes sense that Test be more than a little cheesed of with him. Equally Steiner will be pissed with Test for the way he treated Stacy. The storyline also appears to be getting both guys over to a level which most of us would have thought impossible a few short months ago (people are cheering Steiner for cripes sakes).
Jericho is being used primarily on his Highlight Reel so that they can utilise his mic skills to put over other feuds on the program (Orton/HBK just now). At the same time he's also found time lately to defeat HBK and set up a feud with Nash as well as a possibly decisive 3rd match with Michaels some time down the line. A win over Nash would in many ways make him the natural no. 1 heel contender to Goldberg if/when he defeats HHH.
I dunno, but it's my opinion that whenever Shelton isn't the Intercontinental Champion or isn't hanging around with his momma, WWE doesn't really have much of an idea what to do with him. They're just wasting a talented performer if you ask me.
