WOW! Does this look like complete crap or what.

The animation is horrible! How did that get past Lucas? I mean, I know I crap all over the prequels, but the Cartoon Network CLONE WARS show was pretty good and it looked ten times better then this shit.

I'm just shocked at how bad that looks. It's like FINAL FANTASY: SPIRITS WITHIN bad... but worse.

Forget it Josh... it's Cerebustown.

You are high.

That was about one billion times better than the Dragonlance movie.

I was still able to at least be mildlly amused by that. It looks good enough for what it is.

I totally agree, this doesn't look very good. The Samurai Jack style animation of the older series was much sharper, more engaging, and just plain cooler than this 3-D junk. I don't get why people throw money away by making things like this with CGI when it usually looks better as straight up animation. That's George Lucas for ya, I guess.

And saying something is better than the Dragonlance movie is invalid praise. That was the worst animation job I've seen since I was a kid watching 80s action cartoons.

I'll have to disagree with you there. I couldn't watch the Clone Wars series because of the "Cartoon network" style of animation. It just looked lazy, or small budget.

That trailer looked more like the movies than the cartoon and I can't wait for this to come out.

I thought it looked alright for what it was. I have an easier time accepting this than the Cartoon Network version.

Yoda just looked really odd though.

Yeah the Cartoon Network one looked just plain stupid to me. Couldn't get into it at all. This one looks much better.

Sorry I have no opinion on the animation. What I thought is that I liked the Clone Wars but they didn't fit into the the gap between the movie Clown Wars and ROTS very well.
All of the Jedis that got killed very easily in ROTS were bad ass. General Grievous was a major bad ass. The assassin trying to kill Anakin was a bad ass. Hell, Mace Windu was a bad ass. But only in the Cartoon Series. During the movie these people sucked and got killed off way to early so we could fit more time into Anakin's and Padme's terribly boring relationship.

I don't have a problem with the animation style. It looks reminiscent of the Samurai Jack style with CG animation. It is what it is.

My biggest gripe is that we've already seen the Clone Wars cartoon and this looks to be the same story I didn't really care about in the first place, since it's about something that takes place between the real story of Episodes II and III. We already know what happens with the Clone Wars. This is a rehash.

Why not do something after the fall of the Empire, where you have Luke trying to rebuild the Jedi and Leia discovering her powers? Why not revisit the characters we all loved in the first place?

Between Episodes III & IV is also interesting, but they're working on something else for that already, so I can see why they didn't go there.

I thought this was good. It's not reinventing the wheel or anything, but it's good for what it is. The important this about this one is that it's kept well under the 90-minute mark, so the movie doesn't wear out its welcome.
