So I was planning to watch the O.C. purely for the trailer alone, but then I found myself missing due to watching my just-bought Angel season 5 DVDs. Since it will no doubt pop up on the net soon enough, I thought I might ask early:

Anyone got a link to the trailer?

Freakin' awesome. Palpatine kills four jedi at once (and apparently ages 3 decades in the span of this film), it would seem. What an all-around badass kinda guy. Other points of interest:

Anakin killing everyone from the trade federation.

A Wookiee (Chewie?) jumping off some kind of tank.

Anakin apparently doesnt qualify for the officia Red Lightsaber yet. Maybe it's a seniority thing.

I'm (perhaps foolishly) optimistic that this movie is gonna kick some ass.

I stand by my geekish notion that the real title of the film should be "Star Wars Episode III: Nothing But Killing"

They do such a good job on these trailers. The final scene of Vader stepping into the shot next to Palpatine was just the icing on the cake.

I did cringe when they had Seth Cohen "introduce" the trailer, though. You are watching FOX!

And it look like it will be the first "Star Wars" film to garner a PG-13 rating.

This one being PG-13 is a HUGE improvement. I've always thought that Star Wars and Empire would have been PG-13 if that rating had been out at the time of their release.

I think this is great news.

Palpatine w/ a lightsaber! Yoda/Palpatine throwing down in the Senate, w/ Palpatine force-throwing those Senator-pod-things!

This movie can't come soon enough.

That trailer looked good. But I'm willing to be you that every single scene involving Natalie Portman is going to suck through no fault of her own.

There is no way this movie gets a PG-13, its not happening. All Fox or Lucas has to do is slip the MPAA a couple c-notes. Dark or not, it ain't getting a PG-13.

The trailer looks great, but Hayden is still annoying. I don't feel any ambiguity or ambivalence with his performance.

WTF is the difference between a PG 13 and a PG rating anyways Its not like there is a legion of 10 year olds who WONT be allowed to watch it because of a PG 13 rating.

Oh, and the trailor had me geeked all night at work last night. I cannot wait!

The first reading by Hayden Christensen as Anakin
in the trailer was below Sofia Coppola level flat.
He doesn't have the weight to fill that character.

Ian McDiarmid is awesome. Palpatine's been all sneaky, manipulating everything & everyone in his rise to power, and he finally goes balls-to-the-wall bad ass in Episode 3. "Are you threatening me, Master Jedi?" He's been the hands-down star of all 3 prequel films.

A Ten for you, kind sir.

Flat out awesome trailer, I like the makeup work on Anakin, post turn, with the Mark Hamil Haircut.

One thing that I like well enough now, but I know I probably won't like in the theatre is constant state of befuddlement Obi-Won looks to be in. I understand it, and I understand that it's important for his character, but Ewan McGregor could sleepwalk through the whole movie. "Ok, Ewan, look a little confused. Now betrayed, but still confused. More confused. There you go." "But you were the CHOSEN ONE!"

Palpatine, on the other time, is a bad ass. Credit to Ian McDiarmid, as Spaceman Spiff pointed out above, to TOTALLY understanding the roll and then TOTALLY giving it everything he's got. He's a very unassuming looking guy, but everything he says carries an amazing amount of weight.

That makes two movies whose trailers gave me chills thinking about seeing them (the other being Hitchhiker's).

...or maybe she wants the time and a half, 24 hours a day. She has a mortgage now, you know! This episode was a billion times better than the one following the Super Bowl. I want the "IT IS YOUR BIRTHDAY." banner at all my parties now.
