With two wins against Zona and 1 against Stanford, Washington will give the Pac-10 3 teams in the tourney, and probably keep out a Conference USA/ACC/Big East team. With Duke and Stanford losing this week, that means a St. Joe's loss in the A-10 Tourney (and, since its at Dayton, a distinct possibility) could put Gonzaga as the #1 team in the country in the polls heading into the tourney. And they'll still get stuck with a 5 seed.
Latest sign RSN's mind might be fading: The new plan is to vote for Jerry Remy's Wally the Beanbag Buddy as the Democratic Primary for President.
In all honesty, I think Stanford and St. Joe's will still get 1 seeds regardless of what happens in conference tournaments...Duke and either UK or MSU (whoever wins the SEC tournament) will probably get the other ones. Gonzaga didn't look like a 1 seed last night. If UK and MSU bow out early in the SEC tournament (HIGHLY unlikely), than Gonzaga should slide in at number 1.
Well, all things considered, one's for the upcoming year, another's for the lockout year, and the final one's a player option. And I think Fisher retires before he exercises that player option without Phil Jackson.
