Courtesy of ESPN.com:

SEATTLE (Ticker) -- Nate Robinson and Washington wanted a shot at unbeaten Stanford and made the most of the opportunity.

Robinson was one of five starters in double figures as the Huskies ended the top-ranked Cardinal's bid for Pac-10 Conference perfection with a 75-62 victory.

-----

After the game, the Washington mascot was seen marking his territory all over that God damned tree.

With two wins against Zona and 1 against Stanford, Washington will give the Pac-10 3 teams in the tourney, and probably keep out a Conference USA/ACC/Big East team.
With Duke and Stanford losing this week, that means a St. Joe's loss in the A-10 Tourney (and, since its at Dayton, a distinct possibility) could put Gonzaga as the #1 team in the country in the polls heading into the tourney. And they'll still get stuck with a 5 seed.

Latest sign RSN's mind might be fading: The new plan is to vote for Jerry Remy's Wally the Beanbag Buddy as the Democratic Primary for President.

Joe Lunardi has the Bulldogs of Gonzaga as a #2 seed.

Of course, the year Lunardi had them as a 3 seed, they were seeded 6th and lost to Wyoming, IIRC.

All I could think as that game was going on, was that if this were season mode for a video game, Washington was the N.F.W. Game (tm) for Stanford.

In all honesty, I think Stanford and St. Joe's will still get 1 seeds regardless of what happens in conference tournaments...Duke and either UK or MSU (whoever wins the SEC tournament) will probably get the other ones. Gonzaga didn't look like a 1 seed last night. If UK and MSU bow out early in the SEC tournament (HIGHLY unlikely), than Gonzaga should slide in at number 1.

I was SO ticked at the way the Washington St./Stanford game ended. Felt horrible for Dick Bennett...still considered a GOD back here for his awesome 90's run with UW-Green Bay.

Just ask Jason Kidd.

Old news. They only formalized the sale today but they announced it some time ago.
