A few points.

I/ I'm not sure this is the economic climate in which to be make a "defend our massive corporation" argument. I have a feeling the only WWE fans hardcore enough to actually write letters or post youtube videos will probably only feed into the stereotype (i.e. ugly fat uneducated possibly thinks it's real), so this may do more harm than good. Remember the McMahon million dollar giveaway contest? Shudders.

II/ What, exactly were the inaccurate criticisms? He's vague. It's Vince being a bitch, like in the Monday Night Wars era (Ted Turner has a vendetta against me! He coulda put his show on ANY night!). He always trumpets freedom of expression, but the first amendment, far as I know doesn't protect one from criticism. Be specific here. What do you want us to defend against?

III/Vince looks horrible and unhealthy. Also, because of the countless examples of his being an idiot (Bob Costas), he's usually the least suited person to do these kinds of media campaigns. They really need a spokesperson that doesn't look and act like Vince McMahon.

What's Jack Tunney doing these days? Decomposing, or is he still above ground?

The WWE page links to a Setting the Record Straight page (wwe.com) with factoids rebutting the accusations.

Just wow.

Two thoughts come to mind:
1.) Hey, Blumenthal's check cleared!
2.) Best Troll Ever.

The whole campaign is a joke.

Just thought I'd throw this out there, it's from The AP ...

If Connecticut voters feel like they've seen a lot of Republican Senate candidate Linda McMahon on TV lately, they're right.

A new analysis by the Wesleyan Media Project at Wesleyan University shows about 70 percent of the ads for Connecticut's Senate race over the past month were paid for by McMahon, the former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. who has spent more than $41 million so far on the race against Attorney General Richard Blumenthal to win the seat now held by U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd.

Hey I know that guy. I feel bad ruining the magic for anyone else, but it is in fact a parody and [takes off glasses] an inspired one.

Here's another story Vince wants us to "stand up" against coverage of... apparently much-loathed ex-PA Rep. Rick Santorum was closely involved in the '80s push to get pro wrestling re-classified as "sports entertainment" to avoid fees.

Santorum, Christ. I thought this guy couldn't be any more of a screw-up. As a Pennsylvanian, I would to apologize for my other Pennsylvania being duped for that election. Thankfully, we learned our lesson early. I thought Vince tipping off the doctor was one of the charges against him during the steroid trial. I will ask CRZ to probably move this to the political board since I can only imagine what WWE is going to pull with a PPV that only has 5 matches on it. I expect half an hour devoted to back patting, American troops, Linda in the background and Obama bashing. As well as the youtube videos that going to get shown.

Yeah me too, I think my favourite part is him using an eMachine- we had one of those!

If you don't believe either of us that it's a great parody- you can see his left arm move to cue "Maw".

That assumes CT voters can actually see their TVs over the stacks and stacks of mailers the McMahon campaign's sent.

There's a professional class of political consultant out there, the ones who move from campaign to campaign, hoping one day they will get an easy TV gig like Karl Rove or James Carville.

You know what a self-funding millionaire candidate is to these people?

Effectively, their money mark.
