February 1 at Cowboy's in Calgary (where staff breast implants are not only encouragted, but paid for by management) there's a "special tribute" to former Stampede Wrestling announcer Ed Whalen...who passed away recently.

Apparently they are having a silent auction featuring rare Stampede memorabilia, archived Stampede shows and whatnot.

Just a heads up for those in the area...check the Calgary Sun for more.

Q: If you could have interviewed Marvin Gaye, where would you have proposed to meet and what would you have asked him?

A: I would have met anywhere as long as it was before his father shot him. I would have asked him, "Hey, don't you think there's some chance that your father might shoot you? To death, I mean?"

If jobbers go in, the Duke of Dorchester Pete Doherty should lead the parade. "The Magnificent Rock" Don Muraco definately deserves to go in. Him and Snuka kept the company running prior to Hogan.
