It's kinda tradition to have a big swerve at this PPV. Any ideas about this year?

HBK aligns with HHH and helps him retain. I think that's the most likely, if they go for the swerve route. (or Booker turns, which would really piss people off)

I think that the swerve will come in the other main, with Heyman turning on Brock. Brock will still retain, and F5 Heyman, turning face in the process.

Instant face heat, a chance to build to a program for Armageddon (with Benoit?) and you get your Survivor Series swerve.

Since everyone else is doing it (ok, not EVERYONE, but...)

Vikings (2-7) - I don't know. I didn't see it. Just saw that we lost.
Badgers (6-5) - Slipping into mediocrity six weeks in a row.
Buffy 7.Uhh Whatever this last one was earns a 7.00000314159 because the begining was terrible, but the meat of the episode was hillarious. But filler. Just like most of Season One...Is this some kind of whacky time warp?

In another thread, I've stated that I believe there'll be some kind of swerve/schmoz that ends up with HHHunter keeping the belt.

If I had to go with swerve how about this:

After a back and forth match, HBK, RVD, and Y2J all turn on Booker and Kane. HHH retains, and the new Horsemen are born.

I have no basis for this...maybe because all four men have 3 letter tags?

The thought about RVD turning heel is not a bad one... after all, there is not currently a heel/face balance in the match, and RVD is due for a turn...

RVD should have turned before HHH got ahold of him -- that way, people would have actually cared when it happened. Now that he's been effectively buried, it'll just be another mid-card turn.

Ya know, they could make van Dam a VERY effective tweener. Instead of being "angry grr Steve Austin", he could be "hey, I just don't CARE". Frog splashes his face tag team partner after they win a match? "C'mon man, chill, do you see me getting worked up?" Walking out during a tag match? "What do you want me to do? I had the munchies!" Van Daminating the face announcer? "I needed to stretch my legs a bit, they were cramping up on me."

See how that works?

RVD's coming out of Survivor Series with the belt. I can feel it.

Yeah, it works as a full-on babyface character. Any wrestler who gets the munchies will be a face, my brother.

In my fine tradition of keeping low expectations in order to remain entertained by WWE programming, Triple H losing the belt would be a swerve in my book.

Man, if RVD ever left a match to go get some munchies, he'd be my favorite wrestler of all time.

I kinda poster this in another thread but I'll say it again. I think Jericho is gonna make a face-turn and win the belt or get cheated out of winning it to set up another feud with HHH. Hell, he's the only other star on the Monday night roster.

Here a couple of swerves that would be fun, even though they would make no sense:

Trish is about to beat Victoria, and Tommy Dreamer comes out and turns on Trish. The next night, Dreamer talks about how hardcore Victoria is (being the hardcore expert himself). This leads to Dreamer/Victoria vs. Snow/Trish feud (which leaves Nowinski to feud with Maven).

Triple H gets eliminated first in the Elimination Chamber. While not likely, it would be great if everyone pounds on HHH and Sean eliminates him. Marks would be happy, smarks would be amazed, and suddenly all bets are off as to who walks out with the title (my guess would be that Trips comes back out and costs HBK the title, so that we can have HHH/HBK version 2.0 at the Royal Rumble).

I think they'd be amazed that HHH booked himself to only lose in a one-against-five situation, and that he got pinned by his good Clique friend Michaels again, but that's about it.

Let's not forget Scott Steiner. There's a very good chance he could be involved somewhere. It may be significant that they're doing a Big Poppa Pump interview on Confidential the night before the PPV - possibly to MAKE SURE all the fans know who he is so it'll be pandemonium when he breaks into the Chamber and cleans house.

Who knows...

Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure we will see some sort of Big Popa Pump involvement come the show. They seem to be leaning towards bringing him in as a face, which would indicate a top-line program with HHH. Maybe he'll cost him the belt?

Good point about Steiner. I had figured that they would hold him off until after the PPV, but there's a very good chance he could wreak havoc at MSG. And Confidential has been known to be the "he'll be on TV sooner than later" show, so all the pieces are there.

Well I don't know about what they're doing with Angle and Benoit for the ppv. If they're wrestling each other or for the tag titles again. But here's an idea. How about give them another shot at the titles in a three way tag team match. Have Angle and Benoit win by cooperating with each other an liking each other and actually becoming friends.

After Christian said, last night, that if Jericho couldn't make it to wrestle in the Chamber, he'd take his spot, I thought that it could also apply to any person in this match. Since RVD has virtually no storyline within this match, I don't see him actually making it into this match. I go along with Steiner showing up on the PPV, but I say that he will take RVD's spot in the match.

This will begin a feud between RVD and Steiner because it looks like HHH will be too busy with HBK and there's really no attempt to write Booker T and Kane out of this creative rut they're in.

Given last night's events, you can count on Christian Vs. Jericho in the upcoming month. One chairshot on your tag team partner signifies the end of said partnership. Watch Booker T win the title on Monday night with a partner of his choosing. :)
