Ok, so I turn on my computer, and immediately a message pops up on my toolbar saying that Windows has detected a spyware infection and that I should download the 'latest antispyware tool' for me. Immediately I'm suspicious, and even moreso when I notice that the tool seems to be loading for me.

Anyway, it's this thing called SpyAxe, and my Ad-Aware and SpyBot S&D programs can't seem to get rid of it. Any help?

I Googled it and ended up with a blog post at The X (no relation).

If you don't like that one, there appear to be some good entries right AFTER the entry for the SpyAxe people. http://www.google.com/search?q=spyaxe

I've been having issues with the latest sets of nVidia drivers (everything past 56.64 causes corruption when changing resolutions), but I'm still running 98SE. Your mileage may vary.
