Well, it looks like the New York Knickerbockers have their built in excuse. 'Well, we would have been a great team this year, but Latrell was out training camp and the first two weeks of the season, so we have to have these February struggles.' Please God, let the Knicks go 0-82.
Thank you Mr. Wanz for the check, now you get an AWA World Title Reign. But be careful, my boy Greg is a heat machine.

You never know. An 0-82 record might qualify for a playoff berth in the Eastern Conference these days.
Cowboys 1-2-0. Well, they did score a touchdown...
The Knicks going 0-82 is always to be desired, even when they don't have a built-in excuse.
Seeing as how it's Sprewell, I refuse to feel sorry for him or for the organization. (Not that I'd ever feel sorry for the Knicks anyway.) After all, Sprewell taught us all an innovative new way of getting out of our contracts-- choke your boss and have your contract terminated! Then get paid by the organization anyway and leave your stuck-in-the-mud team for a championship contender. Yeah, that's the ticket!
To hell with him.

I hope that's not true.
Maybe Bison Dele's brother came by for a visit.
I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.
Blah. They say witnesses saw it happen.... and he told everyone to be quiet about the incident. What does he expect? Them to just blow off the late notification of injury and the fact that it did happen? Oh well what am i saying.. its the knicks and one of their star players.
Well, he does play for New York, after all, and punching or choking someone (even one's own coach) isn't even politically incorrect in New York.
Of course, in Philadelphia, they'd build a religion around him.

How stupid are these people? Choke the coach, they get rid of you. Lie to the team, they move to get rid of you...HELLLLLLOOOO Mr. Rocket Scientist - figure out the fucking pattern, nimrod.
This is a very funny article from Peter Vescey, www.nypost.com/sports:
I'm glad my stomach was empty or else I'd have tossed my tollhouse cookies. When I heard about the 250G fine the Knicks belatedly levied on Late-rell Sprewell, who was also ordered to take his dinghy and disappear until he can make a positive contribution. To his credit, Sprewell promised to report any future nautical naughtiness without "Dele" to Gavin MacLeod.
Lest we forget, this is the same righteous regimen that docked their delinquent half that figure after he snored through a shoot-around in Miami last season. All but $2,500 of that penalty was rescinded, of course, accompanied by a Wiz gift certificate from the dense Dolan family.
Having seen how Camp Cablevision contorts backward in such matters, I've gotta believe this latest juxtaposed jurisprudence has no chance of being executed, despite the drivel to the contrary by GM Scott Layden and Garden president (Steve) General Mills.
That is, unless Sprewell figures out how to pay the fine by tapping into Jordan's bank account.
With all due disrespect to those who feel it applies, I've got an unoriginal idea: Drop Sprewell from the Knick roster and replace him with Frank Lautenberg.
Lottery City this year for NY, showing all the signs of tanking it early and often. It appears Camby was traded for....McCamby. Thomas pulled a Stone Cold on his wife, and Latrell...well, looks like Little Boy Layden is looking to dump him. Wouldn't it be wiser though to play down Latrells negatives if they wish to get any value for him? Where have you gone Van Gundy? I think its all HHH's fault
Yeah, McDyess has a broken kneecap and could be out for the whole regular season. Also, Camby got hurt in Denver and is blaming the Knicks medical staff.
what the hell was McDyess doing playing in the 4th quarter of a meaningless pre-season game anyway ? The Knicks should have taken a hint from the NFL and only had such stellar performers like Michael Doleac on the floor at that time.
Guess it is time to finally start to re-build....

I, of course, think all of this is wonderful. Were I a morbid individual, I'd say, “Can't wait for the next Knick injury to occur”, but alas, I'm not quite that brutal when it comes to the Knicks.
