I've always been curious what your S/O's think about your penchant for pro wrestling; my wife is pretty supportive of it, even though she's lost interest due to the product lately.

Any thoughts?

My girlfriend hasn't seen much of it, but she dislikes the little she's managed to catch so far. Figures, all she's seen is RAW.

I keep trying to convince her that it's not all bad, but she ain't having none of that. So I've been taping the very best matches over the last year or so, hoping to eventually compile an archive that'll blow her mind.

What the hell, I'll give this a go.

I like many others do not have a spouse, but when a female stumbles in , they always show up during the bra-and-panties or pudding matches, not the Smackdown six matches or others quality matches. Has anyone else experienced this phenonenom?

My wife really enjoys wrestling with me, we watch it together all the time. Her favs are HHH and Edge, respectively.

Utilizing the belief system and work ethic (Mattributes) of THE Matt Hardy to create a better life for yourself by fulfilling your goals and dreams. Mattitude is a quality that can help anyone -- regardless of background or past -- to achieve success. You just have to make it a lifestyle, a mindset, a religion. Mattitude, is something that can not be taught or learned. Mattitude is something that burns within. In the ring, Mattitude is the intangible, the x-factor, that gives me an advantage over everyone else.

my fiance feels the exact same way. she doesn't like it but she tolerates it because i like it. she sometimes jokes, not in a mean way, that i'm a "loser" because i watch wrestling. it's funny though because i just ignore her.

I once got my girlfriend drunk and made her come watch the Rumble with me. She liked it but still hasn't watched since.

When my first wife was alive, we watched together... even collected 400 wrestling figures together. Every relationship since, the girl has hated wrestling, and every relationship has ended bably. Coincidence? I think not.

The ex-girlfriend used to watch with me...well, she'd watch whenever Edge was on, then go back to doing something else. She'd always come to watch the Rumble with us, too. I don't think she was that into it, but knew names and feuds and moves and whatnot.

Well, my boyfriend is a former op-board writer, so it's pretty safe to say he's as crazy about wrestling as I am.

It's nice, first time I've ever dated someone who's into it. And I'm pretty sure it's the reason we ever decided to hook up. I mean, when you meet that special someone who knows what "workrate" means, who can send you valentines that say "You and I work better than Chris Benoit", who can make Triple H is holding down Jericho jokes, you know it's love.

Jean loved wrestling. Her dad used to take her to see Florida Championship Wrestling shows down here at the armory in Tampa. She was more into the 'guys in tight spandex grabbing each other' then the 'poetry through physical movement' aspects of the shows, but I didn't really care. It was nice to see friends who watch/follow wrestling ALWAYS get made fun of by thier girlfriends because of it and here, I had a wife who enjoyed actually going to shows.

In the divorce, she got all our action figures. I rather hate her guts now... bitch!

My Rae is probably smarter about wrestling than I am. She lets me watch whenever and I just give her a holler when something that might be good is on. (Smackdown 6, Jericho promos...) She misses a lot of junk that way. She's almost as appreciative of the great as I am, but has much less tolerance for the junk.

And she did go to the first Ring of Honor we had in Boston. But she left early and missed the Mark vs. Jay Briscoe fight. Her loss.

I turned my wife onto the Yankees, American History X, and cribbage, but I still get the "rolling of the eyes" when it comes to wrestling.

My girlfriend will only ever watch the Rumble. She loves that match but gets bored quickly with the rest.

She really likes the Cactus Jack-Triple H streetfight, though. I don't know whether that is cool or worrying.

My wife loves Tough Enough, but hates the actual programming. She thinks it is too dirty...like someone else mentioned, she seems to walk through the room only during segments about necrophilia, HLA, castration and other beautiful things.
She respects the athleticism and likes some of the characters (Booker T, Jeff Hardy). But usually when she watches, she only has one comment:

"RVD has the best butt of any man alive!!!"

*Sigh*

I don't say anything about her soap operas and she leaves me alone about the wrestling.
My daughter on the other hand loves it. She wants to go to a live show so "you can fight the Red guy daddy!". The red guy is Kane...I'm going to have to watch her.

My girlfriend's favorite wrestler is the Big Show. I even brought a sign to a Boston Raw that stated that. I have no idea why other than she says "He's just bigger than everyone else." Other than than that, she just thinks it's "one of my things" like comic books, baseball, and Homestarrunner.

Gents-
Next time your beloved talks about RVD's great butt, show her a match that lasts over ten minutes and point out the tremendous amount of crack sweat that man generates. Problem solved.

(Not that I'm looking at his crack mind you. He was in a submission that featured a "look at his crack or look at his bag" camera shot a few months ago. I stand by my decision.)

My girlfriend's pretty ambivalent about it. She doesn't watch it now, but she used to watch GLOW with her father growing up. o_o As for my ex (only one), she thought it was dumb. Now she watches SD with her new boyfriend... figure THAT one out.

My wife thinks it's funny that I watch sweaty, muscular, almost-nude men put their hands all over each other. But she doesn't mind me not doing anything on Monday nights. She'll watch the rock sometimes. My mother-in-law bought me a Steve Austin doll (action-figure) that will be Joseph in my nativity scene this year. Chyna will be Mary but I don't know who will be Jesus. Raven, perhaps.
