Seeing as we're having a LOT (relatively speaking) of bitching about spoilers lately, I was thinking what if you could kind of do a "spoiler tag" for a whole thread, so that folks like me who view new posts only wouldn't have to worry about scanning through the Wrestling forum and accidentally catch a spoiler we were really wanting to not have, uh, spoiled.

No... I think I'm just going to have to once again make it my personal crusade to make all of you post the way I want you to, or else.

Since I don't have my own message board nor am I willing to dedicate the time and resources needed to create one, I will happily defer to your judgment.

Most weeks, especially since SD! moved to Fridays, I am unable to catch a whole episode. Sadly, since Eddy died I no longer feel the need to get home to watch.

I used to try to find out roughly when Eddy would be on - would it be an opening segment, towards the middle, or end - and then try to juggle my schedule to watch him. Usually, my beloved bride controls the VCR and has set it to tape something else, it's too much a hassle to interrupt her stuff.

Anyway, since spoilers are now banned here, it's fine by me as I agree I don't really need them.

The one comment I have, though, is that since most of the time I'm online from work, they have banned most wrestling/entertainment sites and sites that have lots of popup ads, as a misuse of company resources balh blah blah. So, while CRZ gave a link to another site that has spoiler info, I can't see it from here. If I'm trying to kill time and feel like searching for spoilers, whatza playa gotzda do?

Keep up the good work!

There is a post I started under "One Question" reagrding is anything special. Part of what spoiled wrestling for me was the inundation with spoilers that I was weak-willed enough to read. What does it say if we can't wait a couple of days to watch?

As someone who tries to avoid wrestling websites from Tuesday night to Thursday evening to avoid finding accidental spoilers, this is a welcome change to me. I've never understood how people can complain about Smackdown being inferior to Raw, while those people tend to line up to read the spoilers as soon as they're available. Of course it's not going to be good if you know what's going to happen. So why not go in with a clean slate?

People are supposed to be watching wrestling because they enjoy it, after all. Shouldn't watching a show and not knowing what's going to happen be more fun than having a couple of days to complain about/comment on things you haven't yet seen?

I have no problem with this whatsoever, as I detest spoilers. They're called spoilers for a reason. HOWEVER I just want to make certain I don't get nailed if I post something on Thursday, since that's when we get it here. CRZ said in the other thread that would be okay, so I hope that one portion of the rule stays as is.

Sometimes I'll skim the spoilers just to see what the card is shaping up to look like. If there's a particular match or segment that I'm looking forward to, I'll go out of my way to catch it, otherwise I'll watch it when (or if) I watch it. I've had a hard time making time to catch Impact and Smackdown over the past several months, so I've been doing the spoiler thing a lot more often just to see if the show is worth shaving time off other things to catch from the start, or if I can come in halfway and not really miss much. Though, having Smackdown Saturdays at midnight was actually a blessing in that way, I guess.

That said, I know the other places I can find them. Having them here was more convenient, but it's not like I can't deal with it.

EXACTLY, especially since the spoilers are lifted directly from those sites. I'd think the vast majority of people visiting the Pro Wrestling forums know where to find them anyway, and I myself still tend to find them on those other sites before I see them here anyway. I still fail to see what the big issue is here.

The only reason to allow spoilers here is to discuss the program in particular. However, it's much more prudent to discuss the show that aired than some kid's report on a taping and his thoughts on a show that he sent to Meltzer or some newz site.
