According to the TV blurb in tonight's paper, Willow does indeed get all smoochies with one of the Slayerettes.

On a slight tangent, I really didn't realize that Alyson Hannigan was 28. (and she's playing what, 22? 23?)

How is that possible?! How can that girl be 28 years old?

Nothing beats Evil Vampire Willow. Running a close second is Evil Witch Willow.

No......No you're not. I liked her back during the early seasons. But in the past few years her "hotness" has kinda grown.

I've never watched an episode of the show in my life so I don't really know who that is. I loved the movie and didn't want to see that idea ruined with a TV show.

Ick.

Quite the other way around if you ask me.

The movie was terrible, the show is the only thing that's redeemed it in my mind.

Alyson is engaged to her current live-in boyfriend Alexis Denisoff, who plays Wesley on Angel (they met during Buffy season 3.)

http://Buffyworld.com usually has very detailed transcripts up, but that will take about a week or so. Unfortunately, they don't have a CRZ of their own to bust their hump and get it out that night.

Spike can't be 40!!!! I'll have to check that...

As far as the ep went:

GILES IS ALIVE!!! (and apparently so is Robbson...) This must mean that Giles has been very lazy the last few weeks/months if he hasn't bothered to actually *touch* anything for himself.
How come its bad to think of Xander and Dawn hooking up, but Willow and Kennedy is okay?
Didn't they leave a gun on the front lawn?
This ep was much smoother without the regular cast + five potentials running around.

Previews for next week look interesting (we finally find out what's up with Woods???), but Ashanti??? I hope she's not the big bad... Why can't she just play the Bronze like all the other guest star musical acts?

High tide for the time being.

SPOILERS!!!!!!

The episode kept you on the edge of your seat with the three diffeerent storylines coming and going. I thought Giles was the First, but once again Joss swerves us. Vince should really take a look on how a swerve should be done. It was cool to see the Intitative back in order perhaps they can be cannon fodder in the series or season finale.

I will say it was cool how Joss concluded Giles being the First question and then went does Spike have his chip removed question, nice transistion. I just hope they don't kill Xander off next week, it looks like a funny episode, but the show proves previews don't matter. Plus, didn't they kill Jenny Calendar, Joyce and Mr. Trick around this time?

A Fan- Man, can you believe this show is going to get cancelled, but ER is still on?

It's just too bad that I wasn't interested in any of them.

The Willow/Kennedy storyline is about a billion times more forced than Willow/Tara. Let's take a look:

a) Kennedy flirts with Willow from one of her first episodes on the show with Willow rebuffing. It's fairly obvious by their second scene together that they're ramping up to a relationship. It's all pretty innocent and natural, and everything is fine.

b) They start off the episode with the "leader" of the Slayerettes playing hooky from a very important Slayeriffic task. Nobody seems to care.

c) Kennedy throws out some lame and wooden pick-up lines and Willow is less than googly. Though it's safe to make the assumption that Willow is a lesbian (though I don't know how or why Tara would have been brought up) Willow has really shown no interest in Kennedy at this point.

d) Kennedy bluntly asks Willow how long she's been a lesbian. At this point, I'm begging Willow to throttle Kennedy.

e) They kiss. What, huh? When did this become two sided?

f) Kennedy is now completely gaga for Willow like they've been dating for years and her time as Warren is just a spat.

g) The "fairy tale" magic stuff was IMO terrible. You have to show me that they LOVE eachother before you can throw out the cheeseball lines like that.

h) It worked. HUH?!

Post Script: Then how the hell DID Amy know that she was a potential?

Spike/Buffy...I hate the pairing. SMG/James Marsters have definately developed some chemestry, but Buffy/Spike have not. The characters just do not mesh very well. Why Spike didn't go down there and get the happy drugs before, I'll never know.

I was a little happy to see the Initiative, and Spike getting his chip out was inevitable with the soul, but it was kind of a wash. I just struggled to maintain interest while Spike flopped around with his headaches. The best Spike scene of the episode was the one where he comes flopping in and NOBODY even notices until Wilren points it out.

The Giles stuff was top notch though. From the writers acknowledging the hints dropped that Giles was the First, to the hillarious scene where he gets gang tackled. Andrew is one of the funniest people on the show, with his ability to just drop a line in now and then and have it be the best part of the whole scene. His conceptualization of evil "I might light something on fire...or glue things together", is just great.

This season is great, but this episode just seemed so...eh. It was like they just wanted to push three random plots forward so they went ahead and did. It would have been nice to see more colusion (or more tact in the case of Willow/Kennedy, rather than just smushing them together).

This from EddieBurkett:

How come its bad to think of Xander and Dawn hooking up, but Willow and Kennedy is okay?

Willow is 22, Kennedy is not much younger, if at all. She's mentioned a few times that she is "old" for a potential (so older than 16-17 for sure), but that that doesn't shield her from the old call up.

Didn't they leave a gun on the front lawn?

Maybe. Did Willow ever drop it?

This ep was much smoother without the regular cast + five potentials running around

Agreed.

It's nice to know that the Initiative refers to Hostile 17 as Assface. Some other good one-liners in there. I'm glad Amy is back. She fulfilled her annual appearance quota (minus season 5). It was an alright episode. I don't like this Kennedy relationship though. I agree that it's forced.

"Eh" is about right when describing this episode. I agree, they are forcing Kennedy/Willow. Makes you wonder if they are trying to get the lesbians off their back (but methinks this will only make it worse)

And it looks like you can throw all my "Giles is not alive" theories out the window. It would be nice to see how the heck he got out of that, though.

I discussed the episode with my Buffy watchers and I got both, an eh and really good vibe. It depends on where you are with certain characters. If you are an Amy or Willow or Giles fan, this episode was your cup of tea. If you were a Spike or Buffy or Xander fan, it was eh. I thought the Giles scene needed more of an edge to it, but Joss likes to take serious moments and turn them into really funny scenes, so I wasn't too disappointed by that. I will say the chip thing does leave the door open for some interesting dilemmas with Spike attacking the Scooby Gang. However, since the Fist's possesions of him does allow him to attack people it probably won't matter either way. Anyway, I thought was a good episode and I can't wait to see what happens next week with Mr. Woods and Xander's date.

A Fan- Can we get a poll on who Angelus is killing off next week? I say Freddie bites it.

Did anyone else notice that Tonight's Angel was directed by Sean Astin (Sam from LOTR)? Weird.

There's too much involved with her (Gunn/Wesley) for them to kill her off. There are other reasons why I don't think they will, but those are for later on...

My guess?

Lorne: As funny as he is and as great a character as he is, he's pretty pointless. He's comic relief, which doesn't really gel with the arc of the season.

Gunn: Yeah, there'd be no resolution to the Fred/Gunn/Wesley love triangle, but other than that and "killin' stuff" he's run out of purpose on the show (which is actually his character right now...)

Conner: Wesley's predictions finally coming through and Angelus killing Conner?

Lilah: The only member of Wolfram and Hart not to bite it this season. I bet she comes in to try to extract Wes and Angelus finally gets to kill her like he's always wanted to.

Now...

The reason I don't believe, or rather, know that Fred will not die is that Amy Acker has talked in interviews about working with Eliza Dushku (later this season) and Alyson Hannigan who will be doing a one shot on Angel later this season.

Apparently Willow comes to town when Fred freaks out about Angel's lost soul.
