You rock!
Can you say Zack Gowan? It's been a bad year for the disabled in the WWE. I think the key to this gimmick will be how much fun Dinsmore has playing it. If he's into it, I'm sure he'll be able to make the most of it, and create a sympathetic character. If he's not into it, this is doomed from the start.
I see this character shaping up to be a kind of idiot savant. He's completely clueless backstage, etc., but in the ring it turns out he's a wrestling genius with all the moves. Then he starts picking his nose again after the match.
As for rivalries? Hmmm... I like the idea that the people who make fun of him backstage end up getting what's coming to them in the ring.
I think this all got started when someone was watching There's Something About Mary. There's that scene where Ben Stiller accidently touches Warren's ear (Warren can't stand to have his ears touched), and so Warren scoops him up, spins him around, and slams him through the coffee table. One of the writers was watching this and said, "Now that's a gimmick!"
I'm willing to give it a chance. If someone explained Bradshaw's new gimmick to me before I had seen it, I might have thought it would be awful, but it so far it looks good. I'm wondering if Dinsmore won't surprise us in this role.
So sayeth Randy Stilton, the real Stinky Cheese Man!

There's loads of possibilities of storylines and feuds, it is a shame Chrissie Nowinski is injured as WWE could have the Harvard Man vs the missing Godwin brother, Eugene. This could really work so well. I'm looking forward to his new promo reels now, I just hope the WWE doesn't let me down on this one but they should not as the writers can just base it on themselves. | Spaceman Spiff

If there's a way to ruin the greatest gimmick in the world, Lawler will find a way to ruin it, and then procede to run whatever he's just said into the ground, until the very words themselves no longer have meaning. That said, I'm not exactly waiting for this gimmick to arrive with baited breath, but I'm willing to see it before I call them on it. | fuelinjected

I'll definitely choose (b) cause I include myself in the referenced category.
By the way, CRZ, you were defintely my inspiration for that post.

It could ruin a guy's career, but I am gonna agree with Hogan's My Dad, we should wait to see how it looks before we really tear into it. Because the arguments on conjecture don't have any real weight to them.
Now I like Stilton's idea if they plan on playing him as mentally limited.
But I'd much rather see the know-it-all fan who gets to wrestle. Especially when he finally wins a match, particularly after worrying over his own losing streak.

And if the gimmick bombs, he'll go back to OVW, do his thing for a while and come back as something else. If bad gimmicks killed, we'd have never known Austin 3:16.
