We have survived invasions, alliances and cancer. Now we are facing a split. What are your predictions and hopes about how this is going to go down? Do you think this will lead to an “attitude” based show and a wrestling based one? Will it be Vince vs Ric? How are they going to split up the talent? Will they really be ran as different companies with different bookers? Is this just a lame reason to have two PPVs a month? Is one show gonna be called NWO something? If so, who is going to go to the NWO? Anyone else starting to watch who wears black and white? I mean Hunter and TheRock wear those b/w warm-up pants all the time but when TheRock is cutting promos on Hogan while wearing the NWO colors it seems strange. Maybe he should go back to the $500 shirts. Anyway, what do you think? Is this split a bad thing or a good thing? Will I stop asking questions?

Given that I've had cable TV turned off, so I no longer get TNN and hence Raw, my hope is that my favorite wrestlers end up on Smackdown, and that my least favorites end up on Raw.

I'll have to hope for the opposite since I don't get UPN unless i want to pay the crooked cable company a whole lot more money to upgrade to digital cable. I'm kinda dissapointed about the split since it will mean that I won't get to see half of the wreslers that I am seeing now.

Well, I wanted to start a discussion about what is really the only important event to determine the entire future of our sport with multiple open ended questions and I get 2 responses about cable providers. I guess I'll go back "bitching and moaning" Either that of I'll start my infamous Nash hair flip VS. Test hair flip - which is better?!! Then again maybe I could add a few dozen more Steph's tits posts.

Seriously, I guess those one show per week thoughts are valid points to consider. How is this going to effect ratings? If you can only get one show a week and you get stuck with say Drunk, Lazy and Orange with Austin and TheRock when you want to see Angle, Jericho and HHH then you aren't going to be turning into the show that you are stuck with. Then again you may be forced to buy the other shows PPV to see your favorites. Either way Vince is a genius or I am a silly smart for asking these questions anyway.

The division of the talent roster doesnt really bother me so much, Im still in "wait and see" mode with that. If it gets more people on TV and puts guys like Booker in the main event mix Im all for it. As long as Steph goes away Im happy. Im sure that the WWF people have considered the fact that not everyone has a station that carries Smackdown, so Ill trust their judgement on that. The only thing that bugs me is I WILL NOT buy two PPV's a month. I just aint gonna do it. I cant honestly believe that they think people will do that. It just doesnt make sense, IMO they should think about cutting back to 10 PPV's a year but I know that wont happen. A split company is still the WWF, so I dont think that anyone will be willing to watch $70 worth of PPV a month from the same company. Is anyone out there willing to buy tow PPV's a month. I guess some people did it during the WCW days but I wouldnt.

I might alternate between the two, if I were so inclined (buy one every other month and the other every other month) and buy the big 5 every year no matter who has them.

Given the fact that the WWF has screwed up just about everything they touched in the last nine months I have no faith in them carrying out this angle successfully. I am also in 'wait and see' mode. Hopefully, this will turn me into a believer in the WWF product again.

You're in a desert, walking along in the sand when all of a sudden you look down and see a tortoise. It's crawling towards you. You reach down and flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over. But it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping.

I seem to recall reading that the two-PPVs-a-month plan has been dropped since the WWF realizes that they can squeeze only so much blood from a stone. Instead, they'll increase the number of PPVs a year to 16 -- the regular 12 plus an extra one each quarter.

It's gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better.

God damn it, why isn't the WWF tanking? The ratings should have fallen to WCW standards by now, the live attendance is still fantastic, looks like they're gonna really screw it all up with the Split of Doomliness.

I think in maybe a year or two, they'll bring back Russo.

I just got a DVD player for X-mas. I'm itching to get some good content for it; some of which will be comprised by wrestling content. Can anyone make any recommendations on good pro wrestling DVDs to purchase?
