Did everybody see Mild Mannered Madman's bio of Spanky ? He could be real fun to watch. When I saw him the other night, he did a really nice job. But they are seriously going to do something about his name -- at least give him a last name, or something. "And now, for the WWE Heavyweight Championship : Brock Lesnar versus Spanky." (lol, Spanky.)

Hasn't Paul E been jockeying to get Guido in since they brought him in? Good for him, I enjoyed Guido's work in ECW, so I'm looking forward to seeing him.
Never seen Spanky, but I've heard things. So I'm looking forward to seeing him too.

Does this mean the leader of the FBI Tommy Rich could be debuting soon? That would be a perfect way to console Patterson for his I-C Title no longer existing.

He's in Mexico. At least, last weekend on Lucha Libre, I kept hearing the words Super Crazy so I'm assuming it was him but I never saw him in ECW, just heard about him. And the match last weekend sucked so I couldn't even figure out which one he was. I'm pretty sure he was the guy in the mask that kept getting beat down, but there were 4 of those. I wonder if any of the Mexican hookers around here speak Spanish. I might have to hire one to translate some day. | spf

when i read this bit of news this morning on my friends page, i literally pointed at my computer screen and yelled "YEA!!!!!" in a totally mark-out fashion. i am sooo thrilled to see spanky and guido in the wwe. maybe they realized the mistake in firing spanky last year.. or they just saw that he has gotten (is that a word?) a lot better since then, and has been totally OWNING ring of honor this year. now, bring on AMERICAN DRAGON and i will officially be in love with the wwe again. well, so long as they don't treat spanky like smackdown's spike dudley. that would blow.
i hope guido starts working by next week.. i am checking out the smackdown taping (BENOIT/ANGLE vs GUERREROS, BABYYYY) so hopefully he'll be working a dark match. *pray for guido*.
ps. for those unfamiliar with spanky, i wholeheartedly invite all of you to read mild mannered madman's spanky bio that he hooked up in a smackdown spoilers thread. it's totally awesome, informative, and excellent! *thumbs up*. | Scorpio

Well, Spike's power is being a Crazy Bumper. He's not a technical wrestler, he's the permanent face in peril. That's why he hasn't joined the cruiserweight ranks. He only gets dragged out to get killed and show how powerful his opponent is. It sounds like this Spanky character is too talented to be wasted as such.

| #20 Posted on 12.10.02 2349.06 | I'm sure every single one of you had the same thought I did upon hearing this exciting news: How does this affect the status of the ECW contingent that invaded Monday Night Raw in 1997?
See, about a year back, I thought about that fateful night and it occurred to me that a lot of guys who invaded the WWF are actually with WWE now. So I went on Google and dug up a recap that Wrestleline doesn't seem to have up anymore, so I had to look at the cached copy, and thus will not provide you a link (it's very ugly). Find it yourself if you're that desperate. But as a public service, here's the rundown, in order of appearance:
The Eliminators, John Kronus and Perry Saturn: Kronus never made it to the WWF. Saturn is still employed in some capacity, I guess.
Paul Heyman: Writes Smackdown. On-camera agent to WWE champ Brock Lesnar.
Little Guido: Just signed! It took a while, but you made it, Guido!
Big Stevie Cool: Eventually broke into the WWF as Stevie Richards, then Steven Richards. Still there, though lacking a point. I always found it interesting that his WWF/E gimmick has always been that he's nuts, considering that was never his gimmick in ECW.
Da Blue Guy: The Blue Meanie, who the WWF eventually signed for reasons not entirely clear to me. He's gone now, thank God.
Hollywood Nova: Now just Nova and under a WWE developmental deal. Hey, I say that counts!
7-11: A Syxx/X-Pac/Syxx-Pac parody who pretty much never wrestled. I have no idea who he was, and though I guess he could be Crash Holly or something, I've gotta think he never made it, nor will he ever.
Raven: He's "Heat-exclusive." Heh heh heh.
Mikey Whipwreck: Never made it. I think he retired, then unretired, like they all do. I would not be shocked to see him in WWE one day, not because I'd sign him if I were in charge, but because that's just the kind of thing they do sometimes. But I ain't betting money on it.
Taz: Tazz.
Bill Alfonso and Team Taz: None of these guys ever made it, though Alfonso used to be a WWF referee. A couple of Team Taz members, like Danny Doring (but not Roadkill), have a chance of getting there one day.
Tommy Dreamer: In WWE now -- I think he's carved out a nice little niche, personally.
Beulah McGillicutty: Not there. Thank God. She was such an ECW girl. She was the ECW girl.
D-Von Dudley: Hey, Reverend D-Von!
Sign Guy Dudley: Uh, no.
Buh Buh Ray Dudley: It's "Bubba," not "Buh Buh." Currently feuding with the "world heavyweight champion," sort of. Dear Lord, did Bubba really get the best deal out of any of these guys?
Sandman: Made it to WCW, but not to the WWF. And that's probably for the best.
Hey, what a ripoff! Wrestleline had something at the bottom of their article that's exactly like what I just did! Oh, well. My final tally -- counting people who didn't wrestle but not Team Taz, who were just extras, really -- 11 out of 18 made it to the WWF/E. That's a very impressive tally. A testament to the strength of that ECW roster. And Heyman's eye for talent.
