I know my folks thought he was one of the funniest guys out there (with Victor Borge a close second), I only know him from two episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies playing a con artist.

I only know him from the stories Howard Stern would tell about him, but he seemed like a funny guy. My uncle was a big fan of What's My Line.

When I was in grammar school, he worked for WNBC's radio station in New York and actually had the show in between Imus and Stern. I remember thinking his show was funnier than Imus' back then. Any time I had seen him on TV he seemed like a legitimately nice guy. Sad to see him go.

He was a local institution in Detroit during my childhood. The master of the pieface. He shall be missed.

I'd forgotten about the WNBC show, which I got to hear via satellite once in awhile (I worked in radio, and one of the networks fed WMBC down the line in standby mode).

I'll always remember him for "What's My Line", though.

Among other things, he'll always be remembered for the time he instructed kids to get those funny green pieces of paper with pictures on them out of their parents wallets and send them in to Sales. (The money was eventually returned, or donated to charity if the kids didn't put return addresses down.)

I NEVER understood this story. Did he do this as a gag, was he trying to get fired, he was getting divorced and was desperate for cash, what the hell posessed him to pull that shit on national TV?

RIP nonetheless. He was before my time, but the few times I did see him, he was funny as hell.

I'm Charlie Owens, good night, and good luck.

>Anyway, Demolition Man is a very overlooked film in my estimation, and in my estimation the best Stallone film without "Rocky" in the title.< >In my opinion, Demolition Man is probably Snipes best work.< I readily agree with both statements....
