I was gonna start a thread, but it didn't look like anyone was interested (and I figured most folk were upset because Janice got more than 2 minutes of screen time).
I think Tony goes back into therapy for certain as his dreams are sure to evoke panic attacks sooner rather than later.
I have enjoyed the excruciatingly slow build this season has had, if for no other fact than you know these last two episodes are going to leave you wanting a new season so bad you'll need detox to keep from shaking.
DrOp--likes that the Show isn't all mob, all the time. The everyday stuff is a good mix as well.
I know I say this every week, and I know I'm pretty much the only one who feels this way, but: Didn't Tony used to have a daughter?
"Of course the people don't want war ...but, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament or a communist dictatorship ... voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger." ----------Hermann Goering, one of the original Nazis at his Nuremberg trial in 1946
Well, I HAVEN'T enjoyed the excruciatingly slow build (I've re-watched all the epsiodes up to now and it STILL seems like they spent most of their time dicking off this year), but I did like Sunday's episode because at last they've decided to get on the stick and have the plot move forward with the plot points for a change. I'm just damn happy the all-important trial for Uncle Junior is actually being shown.
It looks like the last two shows should be great. And, anytime an appraiser gets the crap kicked out of him twice on one show, its a good thing. But, please, for the love of God, can they send Janice back on the one way bus to Seattle. Either that, or have someone from Richie's old crew find out about her whacking Richie, and have him try to hunt her down.
I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.
I would like someone to try and pinpoint the hatred of Janice Soprano. I mean I hate her but i can't figure out why.

The reason to hate her is simple: she's useless, and she's a whiner. When she was with Richie, she was bearable, because you could see the master plan of Richie trying to destroy Tony while alligning himself with members of Tony's family. Now, after the Christian music idea, all Janice is their for is to provide the bathroom break within the show.

I disagree. Janice exists as the antithesist of the "proper" Italian woman. She can't/doesn't cook, has no scruples and less taste (especially in clothing)She exists as a walking outcome of years of dysfunctional upbringing. I'm no Janice fan, but she serves her purpose at times. She's the counter-point to most of the show's women. That's her role.

Dark Knight Returns is also insanely awesome. I actually enjoyed the sequels too, but they aren't on the same level. The sequels almost seem like a weaker Kingdom Come (which also rocks...
