The long-rumoured PSP2 has finally been officially announced under the codename of NGP, for Next-Generation Portable.
The bullet points: - dual analog sticks - a 5-inch OLED display (960x544 resolution -- 4x the PSP's) - 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS - front touchscreen and rear touchpad - the same six-axis motion system that propels the Move, plus a three-axis compass - front and rear cameras - games offered on new flash memory-based cards - scheduled to be out in time for Christmas
If they follow thru on the Playstation Suite with a big enough library, that could be pretty interesting. The Kindle model is way to go - do your own device, but get the software on as many other devices as possible. I doubt I'm getting another handheld device, but I'd probably pick up a good PS1 game if I could carry it on my phone.
