Kings vs. Blazers
Great game last night, Blazers were looking really good. Rasheed was on fire the first half. Dale Davis was hot at one point. Pippen was playing good unselfish ball at the point guard. Derek Anderson and Rueben Patterson give them great energy off the bench. Kings stayed in it because of their awesome offense (Webber 34 points, Bibby 27 points, Stojakovic 21 points, Christie 3 for 3 from 3pt range). Bibby hit a shot with seconds left to go to OT. Then Bonzi Wells took over in the OT. Too bad they are probably going to trade Bonzi Wells. Now that they are healthy they could go on a good run here. Even though I'm not happy with the outcome it was a great game.
Los Angeles Lakers
Shaq gets suspeneded, without him the Lakers get beat by the Bulls. Then the next game, still without Shaq, Kobe dominates the Spurs and they win. THen the next game with Shaq back, and going off for 40 points, and they still can't beat the Nuggets?? They've lost the Nuggets, Bulls, Grizzlies, Warriors and Heat. They seem to be pretty inconsisitent. Many believe that they are just not trying against those teams, the know they will be in the playoffs and they can turn it on when they want. Which might be true, they ended last year with a long winning streak. But if I were the Lakers I wouldn't want the Kings to have home court throughout the playoffs.
How bad is the East? So bad that a week and a half ago the Heat looked like the worst team in the NBA. A week and a half later they are in the running for a playoff spot.
Jordan vs. Iverson
Is it just me or has the Jordan hype started to die down. If this was before he retired we would've heard this match and they would've been hyping it three weeks prior to it. But I actually did not even know they were playing each other until I saw highlights after the game.
Jordan is not as magical as he once was..... everybody knows he's a step slower than he once was... and he isn't near as dominating.... i'm thinking maybe that is why some of his games/matchups aren't hyped as much as they once would have been...... still i would love to see him in action... even now...
I AM THE BEST there is, was and ever will be!!!! Dont you wish that you were me??? no?.... i've got two words for ya!
Phoenix's Steve Nash and Denver's Allen Iverson are the latest to pull out of the All-Star Game due to injuries, and the latest to be added to the team as replacements are Seattle's Ray Allen and Utah's Mehmet Okur (a first-time selection).
