Anyone wanna tell me how the Knicks think they can come close to contending with the plethora of bad contracts they've negotiated? Any team that gives a seven-year, $100 million contract to Allan Houston deserves to be in the draft lottery. It was a bad idea at the time, and it's even stupider now.

They still don't have much of a bench even with Jackson... getting Waltah would add some more depth at the center and power forward positions. A legit 8-man rotation is better than what they've been going with for the long haul, but they still need to find a real backup point guard, who can at least keep the ship above water if Nash were to go down again.
Chad Ford on ESPN Insider says the Pacers were pretty confident that he was going to re-sign with them, but now they are sweating Miami BIG-TIME. Apparently Anthony Carter and/or his agent forgot to tell the Heat that he was going to activate his $4.
