I got the game for Christmas, and it took me a good three sessions to get the hang of the controls. I'm OK with it now, but I do not like the interruption of finishers in three- or four-man matches. It's not easy to hit the big moves to eliminate someone.
So you never saw that one Bond movie. (From Russia With Love, I believe) Blofeld is explaining Siamese fighting fish to a few subordinates. Two of them are going at it in a nearby tank while a 3rd swims along, observing. Once one has offed the other, the third swims in and cleans up.
Do this. Don't use your finishers, use theirs. I can't tell you how many eliminations I've done with a simple 3 phase plan:
1. Opponent 1 hits finisher on opponent 2.
2. I running DDT Opponent 1.
3. I pin Opponent 2.

Yeah, there isn't. You're doing Sheamus, then Hunter, then "Jacob Cass". Enjoy the hallway.
There's a severe lack of impact finishers in general. I mean, I want something like the Tiger Driver '91, but that ain't happening I guess. I also REALLY used to love the Sameon Neckbreaker, but not only is that not in the game BUT you can't even make it.
Oh, and the Haas of Pain isn't even a Breaking Point submission.
As for finishers being broken up, hey! It's just like the real thing!
I do not like that wrestlers will debut in Universe mode but won't be unlocked. I've seen Demolition and Goldust a few times in singles matches, but they're not in my roster lists or my unlocked stars listings.
Well, for 99 cents you can go onto XBox Live or PSN and get something that'll unlock absolutely everything. Unlocking Demolition is damn near impossible. Goldust is easy: Win a match as Cody Rhodes in Universe Mode, and after the match Cody will try to attack his opponent but Goldust will make the save.
(But I haven't just told you anything you couldn't find on GameFAQs).
Yeah, I tend to hang back a lot in multiple-man matches, as well-- or I'll whip one guy into the corner and then the second guy, which will send #2 crashing into #1.
And yes, the end of Cass's storyline was damn annoying for a WCW fan, but that's the last I'll have to see that: WCW lives forever in my Universe mode.

I'd be happy with just the jacket.

I've been up until 1am the last three nights just noodling around with Universe to get it to where I like it. I've barely had any time to play actual matches. I'll post my rosters/teams/champs etc. when I'm all done.
But! I came across a MASSIVE glitch. I had several tag teams and stables set up. Then, I downloaded the Fan Axxess pack, and it reset all the teams to the defaults. Is this going to happen every time I download something? That freaking sucks.
The controls are horrid, but the game is mega-awesome. I personally think it's a lot better that the PSX version. The new villians and areas thrown into the mix are fun, and the addition of the "Crimson Head" zombies are sweet.
