When you ask for an opinion on something, it would be most helpful to link the masses to said something so that we can do more than just blink at the screen, look at your poor sentence structure and hatred of Mr. Period and his friends, and move on.

I"m aware of gamespot and i'm sure others are too, but referring to it as "the gamespot article about videogames" isn't exaclty going to help us. I mean isn't EVERY article on gamespot about video games?

Games become classics once they sell a certain number. In this case, Spider-Man went platinum*, so now its a classic. To know when Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper will be classics requires knowledge of how well they've been selling.
