The idea that the Cardinals have $300 million collecting dust continues to amuse me. The fact that moving the team out of the city would cost 70 cops and 15 teachers their jobs does not. God forbid the city support one of its principal draws/reason to live.

There's still the Illinois option, though most likely the original plan is going to take place only with private funding. Pitney Bowes has been mentioned as a partner for some strange reason. The state has to allocate funding for road work, though.

What about Dontrelle Willis? I know we can't vote for him, but it's a definite snub to him to be left off the team. How can Pirates closer Mike Williams with a 6.29 ERA be put on the team, and not Willis, who's 8-1 with a 2.13 ERA?
