I feel like an idiot here. There's this little yellow strip thingy thats running up and down the part of the case where it should be opening. I can't get this sucker to open for the life of me. How do I get this open without destroying everything?

Is it a Metroid Prime case or a different one?
I'm pretty sure I bought Metroid Prime used at Blockbuster as well and I didn't have anything strange on the box.

There was a little yellow tab sticking out from the bottom right of the case, which I tried to use to pull the thing out.

If it isn't part of the DVD case, it may just be something they put on it to keep the disc from being removed. You can probably safely cut off the yellow thing, but you may want to call Blockbuster and ask them what it is.

| #5 Posted on 1.11.04 0854.13 | Instant Rating: 6.05 | It sounds to me like Blockbuster forgot to take out the yellow strip that keeps people from opening the case and stealing the game in the store. They use some special gun or pliers to take the dang thing out.
They've done it to me once before, too. Blame minimum wage and high school workers who just don't care. | Whitebacon
